Chapter 35: Decision

I woke up because of the movement of the bed. I couldn't sleep well because of the thoughts. I know Luke is like that too, but I don't know. I don't know either because I don't even know why I can't talk to him.

I felt Luke stand up and then he entered the bathroom.

He's taking a bath.

I fumbled for my cell phone that was on the side table and checked the time. It's only three in the morning. I immediately closed my eyes and turned away from his behavior where the bathroom door was opposite. It was like I was being chased by a zombie and had no choice but to pretend to be asleep so they wouldn't see.

I closed my eyes as the bedroom door slammed shut.

What could be the problem then?

I was annoyed as several minutes passed but no Luke came through the door again. I couldn't sleep anymore and I went to the twins' room.

They were sleeping soundly and I approached Lucia's place. I caressed her hair and fixed her favorite penguin toy that she always hugs every night.
