Chapter 39: Diary

“Salve’s house?” I repeated and he nodded.

"I know that Salve's our enemy from the very start. I once heard that he was talking to someone on the cellphone and I think that was your Aunt Trisha." He still answered.

"And then?" I asked again.

"He knew that I knew something, but he still pretended like it was nothing." I hugged him tighter.

A few years have passed and Luke is still going through something like this.

"I love you." That's all I told him. A light smile came from his lips and kissed me on my forehead.

"I love you too, Elle." He answered.

Until the night came, Luke never left our side, we watched television, played a game with twins and laughed all around until our stomachs hurt from laughing.

It was seven in the evening when the doorbell rang so Luke and I looked at each other. Luke shrugged his shoulders indicating that he didn't expect anyone to visit so I stood up from my seat before heading outside the gate.
