Chapter 5 (part 2)
The next day Adam went to the office. As soon as he entered, he was greeted by the bright smile of a young woman with long black hair.
"Good morning! You must be Adam, welcome. I'm Shun La, the editorial secretary," the girl told him.
"Good morning Shun Lan. Nice to make your acquaintance. I'm Adam Carter."
"Don't be so formal. We prefer to keep a more relaxed environment in the office. The work itself is stressful enough, without having to think about all the pleasantries involved." She explained to him jokingly. "Come on; I'll take you to the director."
"I'm not late, am I? I remember the email said to report at 9 am today," he asked worriedly.
"Yes, that's right, rest assured. But, unfortunately, Mr. Jameson had to come in early because of a little problem that arose last night." She said as she got up from her desk.

When Adam left the office that Friday, he found the smiling face of William waiting for him. As he reached him, he was smothered in William's strong embrace. A resounding thump echoed inside the apartment. With one fluid movement, Shàng Wèi trapped an incredulous Adam between his body and the front door. Thin, eager lips assailed the prisoner's mouth as large hands crushed his slim waist against the wooden surface. Mouth, jaw, neck, shoulder blades were marked mercilessly.
