A few days later, I went back to the company to see how things were going. I went to reception and the receptionist told me that Ricardo was busy. I asked to wait, and she told me she would let me know when she could see me.

I waited for a few minutes, and then the receptionist came out of her room and told me that Ricardo could see me now.

I went into his office and he was sitting at the table, with his secretary sitting next to him. I gave Ricardo a smile, but he didn't smile back. He just looked at his secretary and smiled at her.

I felt a chill down my spine. I knew something was wrong.

I sat in the chair across from his desk and asked how he was doing. He said he was fine, but I could tell he was lying. He was nervous and agitated.

I asked about the project he was working on, but he said he couldn't talk about it. He said it was confidential.

I knew he was lying. I knew he was hiding something from me.

I looked over at his secretary and saw that she was smiling at me. She was hav
