The Real Monster

Another surprise from the demon princess. How could that happen? She's a demon, and demons lived on lust, greed, and other sins.

"I-It's true! Believe me, I do not have any experience with anyone." Elisia stuttered.

Is she bluffing? From what he knew, the demons of Acheron find someone to have sex with when they found their bestia.

Bestias were monsters or beasts inside demons. They could transform into them if they use their powers at full strength. The bestias were the lustful ones. They feed on someone's warmth, fear, anger and frustrations. Those were the monsters' source of power.

"And you think I would believe that?"

"N-No! I'm telling you the truth! I'm still a virgin! No one knew about it because I made them believe I'm not."

"And what's the reason?"

"I'll tell you if you let me go. Please will you listen to me?"

Thane looked into her eyes to see if she was telling the truth. But he knew she cannot be trusted since demons loved deceiving someone.

"Fine. But it won't change anything. I'll still do whatever I want with you." He said before letting her go.

Elisia beat her lips and then quickly sat on the bed, pulling the sheets to cover her body. She wanted to cry because she was scared of him. What if he really forced himself on her? Would she allow that to happen? She thought inwardly.

"Speak." He ordered.

She nodded. "My siblings are powerful demons. When you lived in Acheron, you will have to learn how to defend yourself. It's normal for demons to fight and kill each other for power. But as I had said before, my father never allowed me to use or train my abilities. I always thought my powers are useless."

Thane was sitting on the end side of the bed listening to Elisia's story, while she was hugging her knees to stop them from shaking.

"When I finally had my bestia, everyone expected that I would be a powerful demon like my siblings. Once we found our beasts, we will have to go into a ritual. And that's entering a room full of lustful demons."

"Are you saying you have to have sex with them?" Thane asked.

"You can choose one, two, three or you can have sex with all of them. The more, the better. It only means you are a powerful demon, and you have a chance to be father's favourite."

Thane frowned. He remembered what Athanasia said. The former demon king and their siblings always sided with Elisia even if she was the one who made a mistake.

"You became your father's favourite, how?"

"On the day of my ritual, I came into that room with the hope that my powers would get stronger. But the demons rejected me. So I forced someone to have sex with me. But in the end, I couldn't do it, and my bestia refused it. Instead, I ate him. I sucked the life out of him. I felt like a different level of energy entered my body. And my powers grew because of it. So even though my father didn't allow me to train physically, I learned how to at least strengthen my abilities."

"Are you saying you just have to eat demons—"

"No. I eat demons and any creature. It helped me keep my sanity."

Thane frowned. "Including Terrans?"

Elisia nodded.

"But it's against the law, how did you get away with it?"

"My father. He found out about everything. At first, he was mad, but when I showed him the things I could do after devouring someone, he let me be."

Then Thane remembered what Athanasia said about Elisia's relationship with their siblings.

"Your sister said none of your siblings will side with you after what you did to them. Was that including Sura?"

Elisia nodded again. "Sura hates me so much. It was my fault he was imprisoned."

From what Thane recalled, when the case of missing and murdered Terrans were reported, Sura was the first mythical creature seen in Terra. He was called the soul-eating demon because he killed and eat his victims.

Now that he thought about it, only the first body was still whole, but the following victims' flesh was torn into pieces and some parts of the body were missing. So Sura only eat the soul, while Elisia consumed everything. He glared at Elisia with a dark expression, making her tremble in fear.

"You don't deserve to live. You shouldn't have your happy ending."

His words were like knives piercing through her heart. She knew what she did back then was wrong. If only Thane knew what it felt like to be a demon.

"I'm not happy with what I did."

"You had the power to turn back time, why didn't you use it to make everything right?" He asked.

"I-I"

"That's because you're selfish. You used your power for your own good. You wanted to run away from everything and everyone, and just be happy with that asshole!"

"Call me names all you want, but don't blame Adrian. He didn't know anything!" She reasoned.

Thane smirked. He suddenly pulled the blanket away from her, exposing her naked body. She was shocked, and Thane didn't let her protest anymore. He pinned her down again, his hand gripped her wrists on top of her head.

"T-Thane, no!"

"I told you nothing would change. In fact, I wanted to fuck you even more so you would never kill again!"

"I stopped killing thirty years ago!" She said.

"And do you think your bestia would not crave for something? You used your power, Elisia. You are drained and weak. I'll stop you and I will make sure you and that monster inside you are satisfied with me. I will own your body and make you crave for me. Only me. And that Adrian? I'll kill him if I see him touch even a strand of your hair!"

He threatened her, but at the same time, Elisia felt that Thane somehow wanted to help her so she would never make another mistake again.

She closed her eyes when she saw his face getting closer. When she felt his warm breath brush to her face and his lips softly pressed on hers, her knees weakened. Not because she was scared, but because she wanted more of him.
