CHAPTER 47

Grace held the child’s hand and they went straight up to the bedroom to bathe her and dress her in pajamas again. Marie also came out of the kitchen and looked at the table to see if the family had finished eating. She found Jenny there who was still sitting but was just on her cell phone.

“Excuse me Jen. Can I get the food?” she asked the girl.

“Yes.” Jenny gave a short answer.

She stood up and helped Marie get out. Marie didn’t complain because it was Jenny’s doing to help her with the work when she was at home and she wasn’t busy.

She is not even the one cleaning the girl’s room. She voluntarily cleans her room on her day off.

She only cleans her mother’s room and Jefferson’s room before until the father and daughter move here.

There are two guest rooms downstairs but Jefferson doesn’t want to use one of the guest rooms. It prefers to sleep in the living room.

His mother did not Insist on what her son wanted. He said he was more content to sleep in the living roo
