SEBASTIAN
I arrive at my locker at 7:30 am. Intentionally making myself late just to mess with him. But when I get there,he's standing in place, his arms stacked with books and no look of discomfort on his face, just a faraway look.I throw glares at the people lingering and talking about him and they disperse, making their gossiping less obvious.
“How long have you been here?” I ask Bailey,my face right in front of him.
He squeaks and jumps, dropping the books around our feet.“Uh h-hi. I didn't see you there.” He stutters, bending down to pick up the books.
“When did you get here Bailey?”
“Uh,at 10 minutes to 7 o'clock.”
I let out a sigh and wait for him to gather the books. Then I push some into my locker and dump the rest into his arms.
“I've already checked your timetable. We share every class but the last one today. You will follow me everywhere and do as I say, when I say it.”
He nods subtly, then mumbles okay when I tell him to speak.
It's not until lunchtime that I get him to do new tasks for me.
“Take my card and go get me lunch.”
I tell him when we take our seats at my lunch table. When he leaves,Zander and the rest of the football team arrive, carrying trays filled with their lunch.
Zander sets his tray down and plops down beside me,taking note that I don't have my lunch
“Where's your food?”
I only smirk and don't reply, creating space for Bailey on my other side.
He returns, carrying a tray of food, but before he sets it down,I flick my wrist, shooing him away.
“I don't want it. Get me something else.”
“B-but t-the um t-the queue-”
“Are you refusing?”
I narrow my eyes, noticing how the whole table and the ones around are quiet and watching with rapt attention.
“N-no.”
He spins around, red and shivering. Obviously not appreciating the attention he's getting.
When he comes back two more times with different foods,I finally accept the fourth one and make him sit while I gulp down my lunch, allowing him to get lunch only after I finish mine.
“I'm not hungry.” He says, looking at his fingers
“Are you sure about that?”
He nods, but his stomach grumbles pretty loudly, betraying his words.
He furrows his brows accusingly at it when it goes on for a while.“Just go get some food.”
He shakes his head again, staying seated.
Then it dawns on me.“Do you have a cafeteria card?”
“What?”
“Do you have one of these?” I ask, holding up mine.
“No.”
And I don't ask why because of course he doesn't have one. He probably can not afford it.
The bell rings, signalling the end of lunch and everyone filters out. When he stands to leave,I grab his shoulders, halting him
“Did I ask you to leave? Wait in the hallway.”
He nods and carries our books, looking skinny and frail under the weight.
I walk over to where the food is and the ladies serving them shake their heads at me.
“Lunch is over,Bastian.”
“I know,I know. But I'm here to cash in on the favors you owe me.”
Smiles pull at their lips and they giggle, knowing there was no way out from the beginning.
I find Bailey waiting in the hallway as I instructed and I take my books from him, replacing it with the container of lunch I just bought, avoiding his sparkling round eyes.
“Eat before you go to class. I'll be waiting. The teacher doesn't care if you're late,so take your time.”
Then I saunter off, ignoring the surprise on his face and wondering why the fuck I even did that.
He doesn't strike me as someone who wastes food,so when he arrives in class ten minutes after me,I know he gulped it all down really quick. And I ignore the pang in my chest when I think about how hungry he must have been.
He probably didn't even eat before coming to school. Damn
—---------------“Yo,Bastian, mind if we use your slave too? You football guys really have an asset there. “
A bunch of basketball players, agree with laughs and hollers, their Captain continuing to talk about Bailey like they deserve to use him like a slave.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” I get in his face, pissed for some reason.
“Chill man,it's fine if you want to keep him for your team.” His grin still in place
“I asked a fucking question”
The grin slowly dies as he realises that I'm not playing around.
“Uh,your team mates have asked him to carry their stuff. He's practically carrying everyone's schoolbag man.”
My fucking team mates.
I'm so fucking pissed as I push through the crowd and head towards the field, since we have training soon and that's probably where he's carrying their bags to.Sure enough,I see him behind a bunch of my mates as they head for the locker room
“What the fuck are you doing?” I roar at Bailey, when I catch up with him
He looks smothered and weighed down by the bags he's carrying. I count about 15 bags that he's balancing on every part of his body that he can hook them on. Including his neck.
It's the panic in his eyes that makes me know that he knows he's not supposed to be doing this.
Then why the fuck did you?“Yo,Bastian, pretty boy is doing a good job isn't he?”
I see red
I turn around and grab Jason, the one who spoke,by the back of his neck and deliver a punch to his lower abdomen, hauling him away from me.
“None of you. Not a single one is supposed to ask him to do anything for you,got that? He's not fucking yours- to do anything with. How many of you would like to be treated like that? hm?” I shout, glaring at them
They shift on their feet, uncomfortable and hopefully, realising that they're fucking idiots .
Yes,I know that I'm a hypocrite.“We're sorry Captain.” They mumble,embarrassed.
“Apologise to him,not me. And get those bags off of him.”
They take their bags from him, each mumbling apologies and then they leave me alone with him.
“Follow me.” I command and start walking, expecting him to follow. He does
I walk out of the building we're in and keep walking until we reach the abandoned classrooms that caught fire two years ago.I enter the last one, which was least affected and slam the door shut right after he enters.
I slam his front against it and crowd him from behind.
“You belong to me,princess. That was what I told you. You could've refused, but no,you did what they asked like they own you.”
“I-I am s-sorry.”
“Too late.”
Then I drag him by the neck and bend him over the teacher's desk.
BAILEY My face is on fire and probably looks like a red apple, bent over the desk. It's humiliating and depraved but the burn that starts in my lower belly is telltale sign that I probably don't hate it.But I still push back against him, squirming and grunting. “Stay still, princess.”The nickname makes me flush harder and he presses himself against the back of my legs and leans done to whisper in my ear,the wicked smirk lacing his words.“I'm gonna punish you, princess. Maybe when you walk out here with your ass on fire, you'll remember who you belong to.”“P-please.”“Shh”I whimper when I feel him reach for me belt and unbuckle my pants, making them drop to the floor. He chuckles “This damn boxer short.”Before I can defend my spongebob boxers,I feel the sharp sting of his palm on my left ass cheek, followed by a loud smack and I cry out.“No noise, princess, else I'll increase your punishment.”I nod quickly, slamming my mouth shut. The next one comes in twos, rapid and burning. He soothe

BAILEY One week in crescent High and I'm calculating. If I were to be in my former school,I would been battered and broken from both my dad and Riley. But now,it's only dad.If I were to be in my former school,my bullies wouldn't make sure they are always present at my workplace because they would've already beaten me up after school. But now,it's their norm. They're always here and they reserve all their orders for me. Ain't that lovely?“What can i get for you?”“No greeting,Bailey? You don't miss us?”After drowning me,they went into hiding for some time. But after realising that u wouldn't report them, they came back. I didn't report them because it would've been useless. Riley's dad is the sheirrif of this side of town so I didn't bother. He might get in trouble at home, but he wouldn't go to jail. And I would be his punching bag,Only now,He'd have a reason to hit me.“You think you're better than us now,Bailey?”Alice asks, the usual purr in her voice.I don't know why I found
SEBASTIAN Green eyed boy. That's who took my sister's place. The boy who's life I saved. The boy I thought I'd never see againBut it doesn't make me hate him any lessIf anything,it's his innocence that annoys me the most. “Bastian! Wait up.”I stop and turn, waiting for my best friend,Zander, to catch up.“How'd it go?” He says, throwing his hand around my shoulder “He said there's nothing he can do about it.”“That sucks, man.”“Tell me about it.” I grumble as we make our way to our first class“I mean,Fairmont Academy isn't bad at all. But it's not here and they're also our rivals.”“No shit.”“I hope they don't give her shit. Since we always kick their ass on the field and all.”I clench me teeth, angry At the idea“They better not or I'll kill them. I'll make sure she gets her spot back.”He stops walking,Hastings me too and staring at the side of my face.“And how do you plan to achieve that?”He asks slowly, sounding a bit worried “By getting him kicked out.”I say, shrugging,st
BAILEY“Did papa hit you again?”“No squirt. I tripped and fell yesterday on my way back from work.”I say, ruffling my baby sister's hair “Hey! You're messing my hair up. I spent 30 minutes fixing it this morning. Today is my first day in 3rd grade. I have to look perfect.”I chuckle and put my hand around her shoulder as she fixes her hair.School has begun and because of my scholarship to crescent high,I cannot take her to school again, seeing as we're at opposite sides of town. So I leave her with grandma“Have a nice day at school, squirt.”“You too,Bailey bear. Don't get into trouble okay?”My heart swells at her concern for me.“I won't. Grandma, are you sure this is fine? I can take her, you know?”“Are you calling me incompetent? Shoo shoo, get out of my house.”She chases me out with the help of Nyxie, both of them giggling uncontrollably. It's moments like this that I live for.____Crescent High is on the other side of town. The rich side. We're divided by the river I was ne
SEBASTIAN Caroline will be starting high-school soon and I'm hoping with every fiber of my being that she gets a spot in my school at Crescent High.It wouldn't have been a problem last year until the mayor decided that he was going to create a scholarship program for high performance students among the less privileged to join our school. Only one slot. That meant one slot down for the students that were already scheduled to join next year. My sister included. And one thing my parents wouldn't do is bribe the school to get her in cause the other option is as good as my school. But that other option is also my school's rival and being the quarterback for my school makes it a big deal.A loud splash jolts me out of my thoughts and I look over at the river. Splashes are normal, but the bubbles that keep popping to the river surface and the retreating backs of the running kids on the bridge doesn't sit well with me.So I draw closer and squint, trying to make out what that was. It's nig
