Love found me

My eyes twitched when I opened it but couldn't see, the vision was so poor and blurry that I closed it again, and when I tried to open it again I felt a throbbing pain pounding out loudly in my head, my body was Achy, weak and sore, tried to stretch my legs so I could adjust and sit upright but I felt like every muscle have been pulled out from the tendons like I had overworked.

 I opened my eyes again, it was still blurry then for a few seconds my vision became clear.

Where the hell am I? Have I been kidnapped? I was so curious and was asking myself. Oh no, this can't be true, why do horrible things happen to me all the time?

I closed my eyes again with the expectations of appearing in another better part of the world as I see in the movie, being rescued by a rich family and starting a new life, but it didn't work that way after I had waited for a few minutes and have not appeared in a better world I begin to pray for my stars to take me out of this cruel world.  

Still, nothing happened. I finally gave up not knowing what else to do.

Looking around I knew I was in a strange place, everything looked new to me. I have never seen them before, the room was so beautiful, unlike the place I had always known. 

The walls were painted a glossy sunshine yellow, the woodwork had been given a thick coat of vibrant violet, and the room was so stunning I have never been in such a luxurious room before, I was laid on a soft bed and tucked under a duvet, the extremely soft pillows aid in relieving the pains I was feeling a bit, but my eyes wandered about in the beautiful room seeing things like this my very first time.

"Oh my God she is awake" was a male voice I heard.

My eyes went in the direction I heard the voice, he was sitting on the sofa opposite the bed, he stood up and walked towards me closely while looking into my eyes carefully his cheeks curled upward giving out a light smile, I wasn't bothered about his gaze at me, because I was used to men looking at me that way.

He looked like he was in his mid 20's, he wore gray colored pants and a navy blue shirt looking like a businessman, his hands patted my hands, and my eyes went in the direction of his hand. I   couldn't say a word after a few seconds passed.

"Hey miss, am glad you are awake" giving out an attractive look, "by the way my name is Adrian and you are..." Just before I could digest everything around being scared and wondering if I was safe before I could say a word his cell phone beeped "hmm....excuse me for a second" he took some steps backward and picked up the call. I was mute in surprise, I couldn't even find a word to say.

On the other side I saw another man standing looking at us while fixing up something in his briefcase, he also wore a pair of suits with a stethoscope across his neck he must be a medical doctor, I knew it from his outfit, he took out the thermometer came closer and inserted it on my hand, I was delirious and was just watching, as he read my temperatures.

"Hi, am Doctor Sam, I hope you're feeling better now?" I replied to the doctor with a nod, he asked more questions about how I felt around other parts of my body, I kept nodding my head for answers, and shook my head off when the answers were to be no,  I was just staring at what he was doing.

After some time Adrian who introduced himself some minutes ago came back when he was done talking over the phone, he stood up beside the doctor Sam and his gaze was still on me, just for a moment the door flipped opened they both turned a woman walked in her facial expressions was different, looked like she's in her late 40's she called to the attention of Adrian who stood beside Doctor Sam, she gave him a signal to follow her and then he did follow her,  they went to the corner left of the room

I began to feel a little bit uneasy, my heart began to bite faster, and my attention was already divided. It was no longer with doctor Sam who was still with me asking questions, I was so anxious and thought about what would happen next and if I had been kidnapped. 

But Adrian doesn't seem to look like a bad guy, especially with the way he had just behaved, but who am I to know, this world is so cruel and I would not like to trust people again.

I was so nervous and wanted to hear what the woman who had just walked in was about to say, and if I am in danger I can start figuring out what to do as soon as possible.

She looked a little bit worried, looking at Adrian without a blink.

"Son, I had to rush down here quickly as soon as I got your message, you said it was urgent, what is it really about?" The woman asked

I kept my gaze at them, but this time I became calm knowing now that it was Adrian's Mom and I could hear them clearly, thank goodness.

"Mom is fine" Adrian answered, she looked relieved to hear the son say that, and he continued.

"On my way to the meeting while Ben was driving... I saw a lot of crowds gathered at a distance. I knew something was happening, I was not concerned at first so I told Ben to speed up driving before we ran out of time. but  mom, not until I saw her........" He pointed

Pointing at me my heart quivered, he continued "Mom I saw her running and some bad guys behind chasing her with weapons from the streets of Daly city trying to kill her."

Oh my goodness......, so I have been brought to another city, I bit my lower lip? Have my stars answered my prayers? my thoughts interrupted.

"She looked so terrified  looking for safety, so I had to ask Ben to stop the car and......." He hadn't finished up before his mom spoke.

"Adrian, are you serious?" She looked so mad. "Did you just cancel  an important meeting with our company because of this?....." She pointed,  I was watched by two pairs of eyes.

" This will affect the company badly, that's almost about thirty thousand dollars we are going to lose from our investors Adrian!"  She snapped her fingers in anger and her brows were arrowed towards each other.

"Mom this is a life we are talking about here!" his face became red he continued  "life is important, there's nothing to worry about mom, I fixed up another date for the meeting and the investors agreed that that  too will be more convenient too"

"Adrian....." She went closer  "it's not just about that, you can't just bring a stranger whom you saved from Daly city to the house, that's why they are lots of hospitals out there to treat sick people, you could have just taken her there so she could be taken care of,  this might be dangerous to this house".

"No mom, there's nothing to be worried about," he replied.

"Just barely a month ago, you picked up a lady on your way coming back home, who disguised herself to look innocent, you brought her home, then she tried to kill me by poisoning, if not for the Ben I would have been dead now, so  you can see our enemies are after us and you need to understand that we have to be careful Adrian."

"Mom...... I have everything investigated already, the detective agency is working on this, and I got a call a few minutes before when you came from the agency, which went to Daly city to take proper investigation on this matter that she is innocent, she was just blackmailed but I have not gotten any details about the real bad guys yet. So you see there's absolutely nothing to worry about."

"Are you sure about this? Are you sure this isn't a trap, that our enemies are getting back at us? Am just worried...... you know all these people are aiming at us, especially you, they are so zealous to bring us down."

"Mom, calm down, you worry too much, I got this time around, and no one would get hurt again" he held his mom's cheeks with his both hands and she became calm and relieved,

My head ached remembering what happened earlier, it's one of my worst nightmares. I hope I have not put Adrian in danger by helping me today.

Doctor Sam was already done with me so he went to meet up with them. He also engaged in the conversation but this time around I couldn't hear them clearly, I wondered if it was something bad about my present health condition or if they are now considering what to do to me.

Doctor Sam said something again then Adrian and his mom turned and looked at me at the same time, I became more scared, and I relieved a sigh... Then Doctor Sam was done talking and went through the door.

Adrian and his mom came close to the bed, she sat beside me and patted my cheeks lightly 

"Angel... there's nothing to freak out about, Doctor Sam just said you need enough time to rest okay? So just relax and rest"

 I nodded, and my face came back normal. She smiled lightly, stood up, and left the room. She seems to be a little bit nice now but I hope she won't hate me for this.

Adrian walked close to the sofa opposite the bed and picked up his blazer smiled at me as he said "you don't have to be scared anymore, you are safe here," I just stare like a baby.

"Good night miss" I replied with a wave of my hand as he left and the door was shut.
