Chapter 30 He is My Husband

When the police arrived at the scene, Anthony was pushing Clarissa.

Both of them were taken away to the police station.

Joseph followed them by driving his car, but he could only wait outside.

The sky was getting darker. Soon, it rained. Joseph’s impatience kept growing.

In the end, Clarissa was asked to contact her relatives or friends so they could bail her out.

Clarissa was afraid of Damien’s reaction after finding out about this incident, so she did not call him. Besides, their relationship was only on a surface level. Damien was not responsible for her.

Thus, she dialed Luke’s number.

"What do you want? I have no money."

Almost immediately, Luke hung up.

After drugging Clarissa, Luke got a scolding from Joseph and was almost fired. Since his ploy had failed, he was in deep trouble.

How could he possibly help the person whom he had a grudge against?

The beeping sound made Clarissa feel embarrassed. Her own brother had hung up on her without a second thought.
