CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Alexander's POV

I sat in my office Saturday morning staring at Richard's letter and the envelope meant for Lily that would change everything.

Richard claimed Elena was pregnant when they split which meant Lily could be his biological daughter.

But it could be wasn't the same as definitely was, and I needed to know the truth before I dropped this bomb on Lily's life.

The timing worked because Elena had left Miami in October 1998 and Lily was born in March 1995, which meant she was already three years old when Elena and Richard's relationship ended.

So maybe Richard had just assumed Elena's daughter was his when really the father was someone else entirely.

Or maybe they'd been together earlier than the letters suggested and Richard was actually Lily's biological father.

I needed proof and that meant DNA testing.

My phone showed a dozen articles about Thompson Enterprises and Lily's turnaround efforts over the past week because apparently she'd been working nonstop to prove herself.
