Chapter 17 His Heart Has Melted

Cedric soon returned with their lunch. He had bought quite a few packs of it.

They all suited Faye's tastes.

Flora couldn't help glancing at Cedric again.

He was very calculative. He had a firm grasp of what Faye liked.

"How can we possibly finish all of these?" Flora's tone was unpleasant. "Wasting food is a shameful thing to do."

Cedric smiled. "I didn't know what you liked, so I bought a little of everything. It's alright if you can't finish it all. I'll feed it to stray dogs afterward."

There had to be a reason why he was being so considerate.

Flora raised her eyebrows. "What if I don't like any of it? Are you planning to feed it all to the dogs?"

Cedric smiled. "If you don't like it, I'll just go out to buy you something you like. I'll eat these myself tonight."

Flora laughed. "What about the dogs?"

Cedric didn't mind. "It doesn't matter as long as you're happy," he told her.

Faye glanced at him. Flora was taunting him on purpose, but he was still so good-natured.
