Her face suddenly lit up, and she clapped her hands, causing Marko, who was still on the bed, to be startled. He looked at her with a questioning expression.

"Woah," she exclaimed, standing up and raising her hands in the air. "We've won a lottery, babe," she declared. Marko struggled to get on his legs, visibly confused. "Which lottery are you talking about?" he asked.

"Check, check, check!" she pointed excitedly at the TV. Marko examined the screen and remarked, "Yes, I'm checking, but I'm not seeing anything. Just rich people displaying their worth," he said, shaking his head in confusion.

"Uh-huh," Brindle exclaimed with her eyes wide open. Overwhelmed with excitement, she jumped up.

"The person you're seeing over there is my ex," she revealed.

Marko, still perplexed, asked, "And what does that have to do with us?"

"Everything, Marko. Our lives can literally change," she explained, a sense of anticipation in her voice.
