*phone rings*

Maryl groaned as her beauty sleep has been disturbed,her hands reached out for the phone picking the call in the process.

"Hello".her voice was a bit groggy as she wasn't fully awake.

"You dare to sleep after what you did?".maryl jumped up from the bed the sleepiness gone as she recognized the voice."nolan?".

"Am guessing that you didn't even check before you picked the call". no matter how sleepily she had been earlier,it was gone the minute she could hear the anger in her brother's voice.

"I..i..it wasn't intentional yes".she fumbled trying to figure out the right words to say."it was a mistake.i swear".

"Let's say that it's a mistake mom found out,what about dad?.is that a mistake too?".

"That wasn't my doing". maryl quickly say."it's mom.she is the one who told dad.believe me,I didn't".

"Whatever".maryl thought she heard him hiss but didn't dare confirm it.

"So...".she started picking her words carefully."what is going to happen now?".

"What do you think?".

"I don't know". maryl said frustrated."besides why are you so mad at me?. it's not my fault that dad found out".

"Are you sure that it isn't your fault?". nolan asked."are you?".

"I am sorry".maryl said."I swear that it really was a mistake on my part".

"Enough of the apologies". nolan said."dad called me".

"What did he say?". maryl asked fearing what her father might have said.

"He wants me to come home".

"So?".

"I am coming home".

"What?!".asked maryl.

She jumped up immediately from the bed in disbelief.

"You heard me maryl". nolan said."I am coming home".

"What are you going to do to me?".maryl asked mentally creating her funeral scene in her head.

"We will see about that when I get home". nolan said before he hung up.

"Ugh!".maryl groaned."what have I gotten myself into?".

"You never listen to me".miss bailey said."I thought I told you not to speak to him.

"I know.i know".she really is going to nag me to death one day.

"Then why were you following him?".miss bailey asked glaring at me.if glares could kill,I would be dead by now.

"I wasn't".I lied."we just happened to be going the same way".

"Really?".she was frowning at me."the same way which leads to the men's bathroom?".

Oops,seems I got caught."I had no idea".I quickly say."it's my first time there so you can't blame me for making a mistake".miss bailey gave me a stern look as she couldn't reply to my words.i knew she wouldn't be able to refute my words.

I could see that she was thinking about something as she doesn't speak."What did he say to you?".miss bailey suddenly asks.

"Nothing".I said with a shrug but then I noticed the doubtful look on her face."you told me not to speak to him so I didn't".

"You didn't?".miss bailey asked doubtfully."why is it so hard to believe that?".

"Because you don't trust me".this conversation is starting to bore me."I really didn't".I really hope she could just drop the topic already."You should believe me".

"Well I don't".she said flatly."you never give me any reason to.anyways there's something else I would like to say to you".

Finally, she's willing to stop questioning me."Oh".was all I said as I realized something.what was she going to say to me.

"It's nothing serious".she said probably seeing my reaction."am sure that you would have heard about the gathering that's going to take place".

"Gathering?".

"yeah".she nods."the company is hosting a party to celebrate the success of the company although I would refer to it as a social gathering".

"So I am going?".I ask not really thrilled about the whole party stuff.

"Yes".she nods as she brought out her iPad typing something.

"And it's gonna hold tonight?".I really hope not.

She stopped what she was doing and raised her head."do you other plans for tonight?".she asked staring at me.

"Not really".I was planning to go home since I haven't been home ever since that night but seems I won't be able to."can I please not go?".I plead hoping to get a yes.

"You have to be there".miss bailey said without a care to my pleads."you need to attend the party".

"Why?".

"I don't know".miss bailey said looking away from me.she does that when she lies.

I have a feeling that she wasn't telling the truth."be honest with me".I said."what's my being there going to do?".

"Nothing".she said going back to typing.

"You are lying".I said."if you won't tell me the truth then I won't go".I crossed my arms around my chest.

She turns to face me not saying anything for a second.i guess that she's debating on whether to tell me the truth or not.

"Alright".she said regaining her composure.she seems to have made a decision."I will tell you but on one condition".

"That is?".

"No third party should know about it and promise me that you would attend the party no matter what you hear".

Miss bailey at the moment didn't look like her at all.she was a new person but strangely I felt familiar with this side of her and I don't think I know why.
