LAILA’S POV

My heart was racing so fast I could barely feel my feet touching the ground as I hurried back to my room. The moment Karen’s words had sunk in—We’re having a baby—my entire world tilted, shifted, and then exploded into a kaleidoscope of joy. Me. An aunt. Auntie Laila.

The title played on loop in my mind, each repetition making my chest swell with giddy, almost disbelieving happiness. I could already picture it—tiny fingers wrapped around mine, a little voice calling my name, teaching them how to throw a punch before they could even tie their shoes.

I kicked off my sneakers, letting them skid across the floor, and threw myself onto the bed with a breathless laugh. My fingers trembled as I grabbed my phone, dialing Alex before I could even think. The screen lit up almost instantly, his face appearing with that familiar, heart-stopping smile.

"Hey, baby girl," he said, his voice warm like sunlight after a storm.

I couldn’t stop the grin splitting my face. "Guess what?" I blur

LIAM’S POVThe moment I stepped inside Jackson and Karen’s house, the scent of warm spices and fresh herbs wrapped around me, thick and inviting. I balanced a tub of ripe strawberries in one hand, their sweet, summery fragrance mixing with the half-eaten granola bar in my other. The door creaked slightly as I nudged it open, but before I could even take a full step inside, my entire body locked up. Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me.There they were—Laila and Sarah—sprawled across the couch like they’d been there for hours. Laila had a throw pillow hugged against her chest, her smirk already in place as if she’d been waiting for this exact moment. Sarah, ever the picture of innocence, barely glanced up from where she was scrolling through her phone. My jaw tightened. Of course they’re here.Laila tilted her head, her dark eyes gleaming with amusement. “Oh, look who finally decided to show up.”I narrowed my eyes, stepping fully inside and letting the door swing shut behind me. “You two a

JACKSON’S POVThe moment my mother walked into the living room, I knew she sensed it.She had always been able to read me—always. Even when I was a kid, trying to hide a broken vase or a bad grade, she’d take one look at me and just know. Now, as she settled into her favorite armchair, her sharp eyes flickered between Karen and me, narrowing slightly. That was her tell. She was piecing something together."Okay," she said slowly, folding her hands in her lap. The room was warm, sunlight spilling through the windows, but her voice carried a weight that made the air feel heavier. "You two look… suspiciously peaceful this morning." A pause. "What’s going on?"Karen’s fingers tightened around mine, her grip just shy of painful. I could feel the slight tremor in her hand, the way her breath hitched for half a second before she let out a nervous laugh.Laila’s head popped around the corner from the stairs, her dark eyes glinting with mischief. "Yeah, you look like you’re hiding something."

JACKSON’S POVSleep wouldn’t come. The weight of the day pressed against my ribs, my heartbeat still uneven, still trying to settle into this new reality. Karen lay curled against me, her body warm and soft, her breathing slow and steady. Her head fit perfectly beneath my chin, as if she had been carved to rest there—and she was. She was mine. My mate. My Luna. And now…My hand slid over her stomach, fingers splaying protectively over the faintest curve. Still flat. Still early. But inside her, beneath my palm, was everything. My future. My legacy. My pup.A shuddering breath escaped me. I’m going to be a father. The thought didn’t feel real. And yet, it was the most real thing I’d ever known. It wasn’t just news—it was a shift in the earth beneath me, a reshaping of who I was, who I would be. A truth that rewrote my bones.A quiet laugh rumbled in my chest as I thought of Laila and Liam. My wild, reckless little sister and my stubborn, too-serious brother. They had no idea they were

KAREN’S POVJackson stood there in his Alpha jacket, sleeves rolled up, a bottle of water in one hand, a look of mild irritation on his face.“You didn’t answer my texts,” he said, closing the door behind him.I swallowed hard, my fingers twisting in the fabric of my sweater. “I—I went for a walk.”Liar.His nostrils flared slightly, scenting the air. He always knew when I wasn’t being completely honest. With slow, deliberate steps, he crossed the room and set the bottle down on the dresser. The sound of it hitting the wood made me flinch. His gaze raked over me, lingering on my face. “Are you really okay?” His voice softened, but the intensity in his eyes didn’t waver. “You looked pale this morning. I don’t like that you’re still brushing it off.”I forced a smile, small and fragile. “I’m fine. I promise.”Liar again. He exhaled through his nose, clearly unsatisfied, but instead of pressing further, he sank onto the bed beside me. His hands—warm, calloused, familiar—reached for my le

KAREN’S POVIt had been three weeks since Jackson and our family carried me out of that suffocating darkness—three weeks since I came home. Not just to a house, but to a life. A real life, one woven with love so thick I could wrap myself in it, warmth that seeped into my bones, and a safety so profound it still made my breath catch sometimes. The days passed like slow honey, golden and sweet, each moment cradled in the kind of peace I had once thought lost to me forever. His family—no, our family—had folded me into their embrace without hesitation. And Jackson… Jackson made sure I never forgot I belonged. If I so much as stepped out of his sight for too long, his voice would curl around me through the mind-link, soft but insistent. Where are you, love? If I didn’t answer, he’d come looking, his footsteps heavy with purpose, his hands reaching for me before his eyes even found me.It didn’t matter if I was brushing my hair, lost in a book, or curled up in a drowsy nap—he needed to see
