My eyes filled with regret as I reached out to hold Jane's hand. But she slid it away from me before I could make contact. "I am not feeling well," she said, walking away from me.

"Jane…," I called but without even listening to my voice, she walked away from me with quick, determined steps. Her body language spoke volumes, revealing her frustration and disappointment. I stood there, my heart sinking, realizing that the trust between us had been shattered.

I closed my eyes, sighing in frustration. I need some fresh air to clear my mind and figure out how to repair the damage I have caused.
