David sat in the hallway of the hospital, his elbows resting on his knees, and his hands clasped tightly together like they were the only thing keeping him steady. His eyes remained fixed on the double doors of the emergency room, patiently waiting.

He had been there for hours now, but they felt like nothing to him. His grandfather's collapse had shaken him more than he dared to admit.

When he had first seen Emma rushing down the corridor with her assistant, he wasn’t sure what expression to wear.

Relief? Frustration? Anger?

He wasn’t even sure anymore. A part of him had hoped she had a good reason for ignoring his calls—three of them in a row—but deep down... he couldn't help the anger he felt.

Fortunately, he was in Grandpa’s house when he collapsed. David and the butler had carried the old man out of the study, his face pale and breathing labored, and rushed him to the hospital. It was in that frantic moment, as Dr. Allen examined Grandpa with urgency in his voice, that the older d

  • Loving The Billionaire Gone Wrong   Shattered Crown

The door had barely opened when Maureen’s lips parted. Her heart jumped, hope blossoming instantly in her chest. Her lips trembled as she called out, “Mother?” Her voice was fragile, shaky… desperate. For a brief moment, Maureen thought she was saved. She thought her mother had come to take her home, to end this humiliation. But just as she was about to speak, Clarisse raised her hand, her voice cutting through Maureen’s fragile hope like a blade.“Why are you so stubborn?” Clarisse asked calmly. “Wasn’t the file and the seal enough for you to understand? The William’s family wants nothing to do with you anymore.”Maureen stood frozen, her mouth slightly open. Her knees wobbled as if someone had knocked the strength out of her legs. She stared at Clarisse, her own mother—no, the woman she had called mother for as long as she could remember—and there was nothing in her expression. No regret. No warmth. Just… cold detachment. It felt like a thousand needles piercing her chest. Her han

  • Loving The Billionaire Gone Wrong   The Seal of Betrayal

Present Day... Maureen was already fuming. What was taking so long? She had been locked up in this miserable room for hours. Maybe even four, five hours? She couldn’t tell anymore. The small square window up above the wall let in a dull orange glow, which told her it was already evening. That meant she had spent all her day in this disgusting, mold-infested space. "Ridiculous," she muttered to herself, pacing again. Her heels clacked loudly against the tiled floor. They were killing her feet, but she had refused to take them off. Who knew what kind of bacteria lived in this ugly excuse of a room? Taking them off wasn’t even an option. Maureen couldn't help but wonder—why would a billionaire like David bring her to such a place? Certainly, he could afford to put her in a more decent room, or even a penthouse while she waited for her family… Why did it have to be such a stinky place? She stared at the door again. Nothing. "Where is my father's rescue team? What the hell are

  • Loving The Billionaire Gone Wrong   Clarisse Williams

Three days earlier…David had always prided himself on staying ten steps ahead of everyone else. But nothing could have prepared him for the shock he felt that afternoon.Maureen Williams. He was on the verge of losing it. Maureen. Of all the people. She had posed as the fake nurse and snuck into Emma’s hospital room.He stood up abruptly, his entire body tense with fury.Of all frigging people?! Maureen?!If anyone had told him that Maureen was capable of something like this, he wouldn't have believed it.Not because he trusted her—far from that—but for the fact that he hadn’t even considered her an enemy to Emma. In his mind, she was just a spoiled little girl with too many shoes and too much free time. Always trying to get attention like a child throwing tantrums in a toy store. That was all she was to him.But now… now, she had crossed a line.David stormed out of the surveillance room, unable to stay still. He walked down the hallway and stepped outside into the fresh air. The wi

  • Loving The Billionaire Gone Wrong   Airport Encounter

Three days later… Maureen walked confidently into JFK Airport. She wore a white silk jumpsuit that hugged her tall frame and carried a glossy black Dior handbag over one arm. Her oversized Gucci sunglasses rested perfectly on the bridge of her nose. Her long black hair was pulled into a high, sleek ponytail, and her lipstick was a bold, commanding red. Beside her was her assistant, Flora, clutching a tablet and walking nervously in her flat shoes. Behind them were two bulky bodyguards in black suits, dragging Maureen’s designer luggage on gold-accented suitcases. It was a dramatic entrance, one that made heads turn. They reached the immigration counter, where a stern-looking officer, dressed neatly in a navy uniform and wearing a badge that read "Customs and Border Protection Officer," looked up as Maureen approached. "Good morning, ma’am," the officer said politely. "May I see your passport and visa, please?"

David stared at Mathew, stunned. He immediately stood up from his chair, and came closer to Mathew. “How? Mathew, what do you mean?” Mathew let out a slow breath and looked away for a second, trying to gather his thoughts. “At that time Emma was admitted to the hospital after the bombing explosion, I came to visit her. The guards were stationed outside, as usual, but when I entered her ward, I saw a nurse already inside... standing beside her alone.” David's eyes narrowed. “A nurse?” “Yes,” Mathew nodded. “I noticed she was holding something in her hand. But the moment I spoke, she quickly stuffed it back into her pocket and left without saying a word.” David went rigid. “Did you see her face?” Mathew shook his head. “No. I only saw her from the back. But I’ll tell you this—she didn’t look anything like Nurse Angela. Her body shape was different. Angela is round, curvy... this one was slimmer. At first, I thought it was strange because she didn't really speak much and ha

  • Loving The Billionaire Gone Wrong   Nurse Angela

A wave of panic washed over David as the chief officer's words replayed in his head. There was still a murderer out there—someone still wanted Emma dead. The thought made his stomach twist. He couldn't ignore the sudden need to be near her, to check for himself that she was still safe. He didn't tell Christian or the officer; he just left. When he finally arrived at the hospital, David didn't wait for the elevator. He ran up the stairs, taking them two at a time until he reached her floor. As he opened the ward door, he paused—his eyes scanned the room, searching. And there she was.Lying still, pale but peaceful.Matthew, seated beside her bed, looked up, startled by the sudden entrance. He frowned at the sight of David’s frantic expression."You alright? What’s going on?" Matthew asked, standing from his seat.David sighed in relief. His eyes didn’t leave Emma as he walked closer to her bedside.Matthew raised a brow. "What happened? What about the investigation and questioning… any
