Chapter Thirty-One: Back on Track

Getting dressed, I quickly looked over at Emily and saw that she was still sound asleep. Putting on my clothes, I grabbed my phone off the bed and saw that it was five in the morning. Going to sit at the edge of the bed, I gently move her hair before kissing her on the forehead. Getting up, I grabbed my shoes before quietly opening the door and closing it behind me. Exiting her apartment building, I got inside my car and drove home. When I had arrived, I saw that no one was up and the hall was dark. Feeling my way around the room, I got a hold of the railing before climbing the stairs to my bedroom. Laying down in bed, I closed my eyes and before you know it, I was waking up to the sun shining on my face. 

Groaning out loud, I sat up before running a hand over my face. I felt completely drained. I don’t know if it was the fact that Emily had tired me out
