Chapter Thirty-Eight: Bitter Sweet Endings

Running through the hospital doors, I stopped right at the desk and began shouting that they take me to my mother’s room. A nurse who was at the desk told me her room number and I ran into the elevator and began pressing the buttons impatiently. Bringing me up to the Emergency ward, I stepped off the elevator and ran right up to Melissa who was pacing the floor.

“What happened?” I practically shouted at her.

“She accidentally heard that you were kidnapped and she began sobbing.
