Divorce

The doctors did their best to save Allan who was now unconscious of what's happening in the world or to him. 

At the end they managed to get him out of danger but he wasn't responding implying that he sleeps into a coma.

After the doctors realized that, they came out to look for his relatives but there wasn't any. So Allan was looked after by the hospital nurses.

A week later

One of the nurses felt pity for him. His legs were all broken and one arm. He really needed someone so close to take care of him. It has been a week but no one showed up to look for him.

The nurse went to where his bloody clothes were put. She checked in the pockets for anything like a phone to call his relatives. The phone she found was also destroyed into pieces. Luckily the simcard wasn't. So she got it and inserted it into her phone and went through his contacts. Wifey. She saw the name and called it right away.

On the first and second call the phone wasn't answered despite the fact that it went through. The nurse didn't give up and called again. This time it was answered and what greeted her is the fierce voice of the person that answered.

"What in the world do you want with my daughter Allan? Leave her alone."The person said.

The nurse froze but she composed herself and told the other person on the phone that the owner got involved in a car  accident and currently at the hospital. She then ended the call.

Few seconds the nurse remembered that she didn't tell the person the address of the hospital so she sent it in a message.

Harriet was cooking when she picked up that call from the hospital. The last thing she needs to care about now is that poor and good for nothing  farmer. But remembering what he did for her daughter years ago, she softened her heart and told Leticia what happened. 

Leticia snorted with anger. For her it's Allan's new trick to get her back since she hasn't been home for the last week. She had thought that Allan came back and didn't find her at their rental room.

You can't know what's happening if you don't go there yourself to watch. Harriet said to her daughter. Go and see if he is tricking just leave him and come back.Harriet added.Leticia decided to go to the hospital at once.

She quickly inquired about Allan Kembo and the nurse at the reception showed her the ward. Allan being into a comma and alone in the hospital has made him popular among the nurses and doctors. 

When Leticia arrived at the ward, a doctor was changing Allan's position. He sighed frequently as he pity Allan.

Leticia stood at the door watching everything. So it's a serious issue. She thought. What took her back is that Allan's both legs were tied up and bandaged. His left arm also. For minutes she went blank in expression. She didn't know what to think anymore. 

Ahh hey there madam are you perhaps his wife? The doctor asked. Am me! no! Am his friend. I heard that he got an accident and came to see him. Leticia denied being his wife. She won't have anything to do with a cripple from now onwards. She was planning to divorce the poor farmer anyway. And now he is in such  a sorry state how is she going to survive if she choose to be by his side. 

Oh its good of you madam. We haven't got his relatives yet but you are here as a friend to see him. He must treasure you when he is awake. The doctor said with a smile. Leticia awarkwardly smiled back with guilty but she easily tossed it away. 

Ok l will leave him with you. I will come back later to see if he is awake. He should be by now from that comma but he hasn't. The doctor told Leticia. She frowned as she  asked  about the comma. The doctor filled her what has happened and he left to treat other patients. 

Left alone with Allan, Leticia looked at him for along time. She concluded that such unlucky person won't even walk again in the future. That she didn't have to destroy her life with him. So she  turned and left the ward with a thought on her mind. 

Allan had actually been awake from his comma when the doctor asked Leticia the first question. She didn't say that she is his wife but a friend. The pain he felt in his heart was like a sharp knife being stubbed into him. It was too much compared to what he is feeling in his broken legs and arm. But he decides to be calm about it. He saw the back of the wife he spent three years with and felt bitter. He spent that day alone again in the hospital. 

No sooner had Leticia left the hospital than a black expensive car parked at the hospital entrance. She got in and kissed the man on the driver's seat. Breaking the kiss, she told the man to take her and get the divorce arrangements. Yes she has decided to end that good for nothing thing she had been calling marriage at once. 

Hmm whatever the beauty say shall l do. The man flattered as he started the engine to the civil affairs office. If Leticia wasn't looking in her bag for lipstick,she would have seen the sneer on the man's face.

The next morning Leticia went to the hospital after getting the support from her mum to divorce Allan. Harriet had wanted  her to do that for along time but Leticia was hesitant. But after getting a rich guy, she came to a perception that she had wasted more of her time with Allan and gained nothing other than daily humiliation from her neighbors and close friends.

Leticia must you leave him at the moment he needs you more than ever. Leah the young sister said. She felt pity for poor Allan. 

And who said that you have a say in this matter. If you feel pity or love him that much go and have him l dont care. Leticia replied while taking off her new leather jacket. 

I dare see you approaching that good for nothing man Leah. Harriet shouted at her daughter. 

I didn't say that l love him. I just feel sorry for a man who is abandoned by his wife just because he is poor and got an accident.my dear sister Leticia and my darling mum. Let me hope that you will not regret anything in the future. Life is not all about money. And its really un predictable. Remember what you plant is what you harvest. Leah stormed out of the house after saying those words. She can't just believe what her sister and mum are so cold to that extent. .
