CHAPTER LI: SHIFTED

Angela's POV

“Angela dear, what is it that you want to say to me?” Asked Miss Courtney who’s sitting promptly on her swivel chair while browsing some pile of papers above her wooden desk.

I sat on the chair in front of her while my hands are shaking. “A-Actually, I’d like to ask a favor from you..”

Miss Courtney stopped browsing the papers and looked at me skeptically. “What is it?”

I straightened my back and held the hem of my skirt as I spoke. “I-I want to shift my class.”

My grip on the ends of my skirt tightened as if I just said something that I never wanted to say.

This is the best thing that I could do to be able to not hurt Lucy anymore, and also to get away from Lucifer.

Miss Courtney removed her eyeglass and looked at me. “What did you say?”

I heaved a sigh and gazed at her. “I want to shift my class.” I repeated, trying to maintain a straight voice.

“Is there something wrong with your class right now?” she asked.
