The gentle touch on my chin lifted my head slightly. My eyelids widened at the woman that I saw. Mom stood there in her pretty white sundress and her favorite gold laurel crown on her head. Her eyes held that same warmth I used to know every morning when I woke up, her cheeks rosy like she had been smiling too much. "Mom?" I questioned. Did I fall asleep again?
