Gently taking Uriel off my shoulder and into my lap, I sat her down at the small wooden picnic table. Uriel was adamant that this party was to be fun, like one big giant birthday party, and not done over the top. It was exactly that, simple with the fun party features that Uriel has deprived of all her life.

Chocolate fountains, cupcake mountains, cookies, candies, a hot chocolate bar, and of course, normal food for the rest of us were in endless supply as the Celestial Fairies continued to bring in more food. Dionysus, of course, was in charge of the whole thing, checking the bar, the food, and the drinking games. He had a damn beer pong table humans like to play. My grandparents’ wolves were all playing that game, causing hoots and hollers even over the large bass of music.

Humans got one thing right, music. I couldn’t imagine the gods trying to bump and grind into a bunch of harps and flutes. “I’m tired,” Uriel’s mouth slurred as I had her sit on my lap.
