"Is this... really my uncle's castle?" Alessia mumbled under her breath, her eyes wide with awe as she moved down the enormous hall. The stone walls rose high above her, with towering arches flowing gently overhead.

The walls were covered with intricate carvings of legendary creatures and luminary symbols, all lighted by the warm glow of candles flickering in their sconces. Sunlight filtered through stained-glass windows, creating beautiful patterns on the floor. It felt lively, full of light and warmth, in contrast to the Endymion palace's chilly, depressing atmosphere.

Joya, her uncle's appointed maid, followed her carefully, directing her toward the library. The calm echo of their footsteps echoed through the hall, providing a soothing counterpoint to Alessia's rapid thoughts.

"This castle is beautiful," Alessia whispered almost to herself, her gaze drawn to the intricate features of the marble columns and gorgeous tapestries that adorned the walls.

"It feels alive, like it has

“Finally, we’re here,” Alessia muttered under her breath as her gaze swept over the bustling streets of Jasperhearth. The city was alive with color and sound, a stark contrast to the quiet, forested paths they had traversed. The cobblestone streets shimmered faintly under the afternoon sun, polished smooth by the steps of countless visitors. Buildings crafted from warm, honey-colored stone rose in elegant tiers, adorned with hanging flower baskets that overflowed with vibrant blossoms. “It’s more beautiful than I imagined,” Sirena said softly, her violet eyes reflecting the golden light of the setting sun. Raizel, ever the skeptic, crossed his arms. “Well, at least it doesn’t reek of smoke and sweat like some of the other cities we’ve been to. I’ll give it that much.”Sirena smirked, nudging him with her elbow. “Look at you, sounding impressed for once. What’s next? You’ll start skipping in joy?”“Shut it,” Raizel retorted, rolling his eyes. But even his sharp tone couldn’t hide th

“Are you sure about this?” Kael’thar asked, his voice low and steady as he stood before Alessia. Behind him, the gathered Chimeralys watched with solemn faces, their eyes filled with both gratitude and sorrow. “I am,” Alessia replied firmly, her gaze unwavering as she looked up at the towering iron gates she had built for their safety. The high stone walls, reinforced with her luminousness, loomed over them, a testament to her work and dedication. “Everything is as it should be. You’re ready.” Kael’thar took a step closer, his golden eyes gleaming with emotion. “We owe you everything, Alessia. I…” His voice broke slightly. “We’ll never forget what you’ve done for us.” “You don’t owe me anything,” Alessia said gently. “All I wanted was for you to be safe. What you do from here on is up to you.” Amara, holding little Janus in her arms, stepped forward. Her cheeks were damp with tears, but her smile was radiant. “Thank you, Alessia. Because of you, our son has a future. We have a fut

“Three weeks,” Alessia murmured, standing at the edge of the settlement as the golden sun cast its rays over the Chimeralys village. Her gaze moved over the newly built homes, sturdy and resilient against the mountain's harsh conditions. Smoke rose from chimneys, and laughter echoed through the air. She sighed softly, the faintest hint of pride tugging at her lips. Raizel walked up behind her, arms crossed. “You’ve turned this place around, Alessia. Look at them. They’re thriving.” “They are,” Alessia agreed, her voice tinged with satisfaction. “But there’s still much to do. Survival isn’t just about homes. It’s about sustaining life.” Raizel raised a brow. “And you’ve taught them that too. Look over there.” He pointed to a group of Chimeralys kneeling in the soil, planting seeds Alessia had brought back from her foraging trips. Rows of vegetables and fruit trees were beginning to grow, their green shoots poking through the dark soil. “They’re learning,” Alessia said, turning to w

Kael'thar said, “We’re here,“ and stepped aside to let Alessia and the others go by. Alessia’s boots made a crunching sound as she stepped into the area. She looked around the settlement, and a profound scowl developed on her face. The Chimeralys’ homes, or what they called homes, were just rough shacks. Leaves and animal skins were strung over shaky timber frames that were uneven and barely held together. The roofs were sagging, and water was seeping from the last rain. The scent of dampness and rot was in the air, and Alessia’s chest tightened when she saw youngsters huddled under torn pieces of cloth. “Is this...?“ She started, her voice low in amazement. Kael’thar, who was standing next to her, looked at her face and let out a heavy sigh. “Yes. This is what we've been able to make.” Alessia pointed to the shacks and remarked, “This is not okay. How can you live this way? How can anyone live here?” Kael’thar looked down. “We did what we could. The wilderness is tough, and

“Wake up, everyone! We’re back!” Alessia’s firm voice echoed through the Chimeralys’ hideout as her eyes fluttered open. A faint light from glowing crystal orbs hanging from the cavern walls illuminated the room. She exhaled in relief, scanning the surroundings. The Chimeralys they had rescued were all here, many still in cages. However, those who had remained in the hideout were already rushing to open the locks and set the newcomers free. The sound of creaking iron filled the air, followed by cries of joy as families reunited. A soft smile touched Alessia’s lips as she spotted Lirra, the young girl she had saved, rushing into the arms of her parents. The family embraced tightly, tears streaming down their faces. Alessia’s heart warmed at the sight, a feeling of satisfaction blooming within her. “This,” she murmured under her breath, “is why we fight.” Beside her, Raizel leaned against the cavern wall, watching the joyful reunions with a faint, uncharacteristic smile

“Is this all you’ve got, Drestan?” Alessia’s voice dripped with venom as she thrust her hand forward, unleashing a spray of ignis luminous directly at the fat noble. The orange flames danced with a life of their own, licking at the Count’s gaudy clothes. He flailed, stumbling back and furiously patting at the singed fabric. “You dare!” Count Tahoos Drestan’s voice rose in a trembling fury, his face reddening further as he hurled a sphere of aqua minor Z luminous at her. With a flick of her wrist, Alessia conjured a shield of eurus Luminous, causing the watery attack to fizzle harmlessly. She laughed coldly. “You call that power? How pathetic. Perhaps you should stick to ordering others around. It’s the only thing you seem remotely good at.” The Count’s jaw tightened, his sharp teeth glinting as he bared them in frustration. “Capture her! Kill them all!” He roared at his men, his voice reverberating through the room. A dozen armed guards surged forward, weapons drawn and
