Chapter 9

Liam’s POV

Sitting at the head of the table as I always do I find myself impatiently waiting for the new she wolf to arrive at dinner. I had told her five pm and I would have thought she would have been here by now, but it was five till and she still wasn’t here. The room was filling up fast as my pack continued to enter the dining room and the tables surrounding mine were now full.

Blaze then walks in and takes his seat next to mine and I look over at him and ask, “Have you seen the new she wolf?”

“Not since I put her in her room earlier, but I sent Lyra up with some clothes for her afterwards.” Blaze told me and I then began to scan the room for Lyra, as worry filled me that something had happened, when I realized her seat was empty too.

Lyra was my baby sister and she had never really fit in with the rest of the pack and she kept to herself most of the time, because the other she wolves looked down on her because she wasn’t a warrior like the rest of them. Lyra had a kind h
