Katrina’s point of view

“I can’t believe Ryan was betraying us all along,” Bray says, getting on the bed where Becky is sitting.

“I know. It’s just that I can’t believe he would do that. I mean, he seemed like he supported me and Lucius, you know?” I murmured, plopping down on the armchair in the room after I finished narrating everything that happened that night in the hallway.

“Well, we never really know someone, I guess,” Becky shrugs, then groans as she lies back on the bed.

“Are you okay? Does anything hurt?” I asked her, and she shook her head, closing her eyes briefly.

“The doctors say it will take a bit of time to heal, so maybe take it easy?”

“How can she take it easy when Noah was all over—” Before Bray could finish talking, Becky slapped his arm several times, and he laughed, trying to get off the bed.

“That was…” she stuttered, her cheeks turning a bright red as she played with her fingertips.

“Disturbing,” Taylor walked in with flowers in his hands and a paper bag with ta

  • Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win   Cassian's Weirdness

Katrina’s point of view“Please don’t speak to your mother like that” I said to him as soon as we got in the car. I didn’t expect to find Princess Ingrid here, but Lucius insisted we make a stop here while searching for juniper. “I don’t fucking care. She has no right to speak to you that way,” he growls.“Still. I wouldn’t want our son to speak to me like that.” I said as he snapped his head towards me, looking at me like I had just grown two extra pairs of ears.“What?”“You said our son,” he says as my lips part. I didn’t even realize I said that outwardly. “I don’t...I…”“Our son, Kat. You said it. Does that mean…” he paused, holding his breath as I scoffed. “It wasn’t like that. Lucius, you know I would never want…” I stuttered.“I don’t care. I know I am in your future. That’s all that matters,” he says, and I chuckle. I can’t believe that after everything I had to say, he only heard that. But then I have also spent some time thinking of what our lives would be like if we left a

  • Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win   Ingrid's Visit

Ingrid's point of viewThe drive to her house takes us over an hour from the other side of the capital. Just like I expected, there’s tight security at the gate. It takes them calling the house for them to finally let me into the compound, and I can’t believe how well the mansion is kept.Once I got out of the car. I carry the basket out before making my way towards the door before we even get to the door. The top-to-bottom glass doors open, and someone is welcoming us.“Good morning, Princess.” The woman curtly bows her head before me, and I force a smile before walking inside the house.“Please wait here. She will be joining you soon,” She gestures for me towards the lounge, and I nod before going to sit down. I place the basket on the table. Looking around the room above the fireplace there’s a huge painting and other portraits are of Lucius and her, but with just a few of Lucius’s father.“Princess Ingrid. What a pleasant surprise,” she says behind me as I turn around to face her.

  • Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win   Ingrid's plans

Ingrid’s point of view“What the fuck is going on, Ingrid?” My uncle asked me after I went to see him. I paused at the door before lifting my head to look at him.“I need your help.”“Ingrid”“Uncle Dante, I know. I know you said you wouldn’t get involved, but he is my mate,” I insisted, walking towards the table. My eyes stung with tears. “Your father sent you here so that you could move on and leave everything behind. This thing with Lucius. You need—” “No. Lucius Grimmwolf is my mate, and I will not let some stuck-up princess take him away from me.” I slammed my hands on his desk, and he sat back in his chair, giving me a hard stare.“What do you think you are doing, Ingrid? You think he will look at you? Do you believe that—”“He will when he finds out the truth about himself,” I said to him, and he raised his brow, looking me straight in my eyes.“The truth about himself? What’s that supposed to mean?”“You said you wanted to gain favor in the Alpha king’s eyes, right? What if I

  • Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win   Bond or Not. I love you

Lucius’s point of view“Our bond. I can’t feel it.” I said to her, my voice breaking. It’s the only thing that kept me going for ten years, and now it is gone. Every time I tried to find her or feel her emotions, it felt like I was hitting a wall.My wolf has been uneasy since then, and I can’t understand what is happening.“Lucius,” she whispered, bringing her hand to mine, but I couldn’t look at her. I had hoped that it would be enough for me and her. That the bond I held on for so long would suffice, but I just lost it, and just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, she had Cassian’s scent all over her.“Lucius?” She took my hand into hers, and I lifted my eyes, meeting hers as she smiled weakly at me.“The bond might have been what brought us together. But what we feel for each other is what has kept us until now. Not our bond,” she said with such assurance, but I couldn’t help it. I felt empty. I felt a void in me.“Unless it’s different for you.”“No. It’s just…”“I love

  • Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win   Our Bond is Gone

Katrina’s point of view“Cassian, wait. You can’t…” I rushed after him as he kept on walking while barking instructions to his new assistant.“Wait.” I rushed, grabbing him by his arm. He was acting like a possessive man, not wanting to let go of his mate.“Let me find her. You going to look for her will drive her away,” I say, my heart racing as I looked at him. I saw how people were looking at me as Cassian dropped his gaze to his arm.Shit.I withdrew my hand from his arm. “If you send people after her. It will only make her want to run. I can talk to her and bring her back.”He clenched his jaw tightly as his chest rose and fell. His irises are changing back to their usual color.“Are you sure you can bring her back?” he asks, and I nod.“Fine. You have until midnight. If she is not back in her room. I will personally be coming for her.” With that, he turned on his heel, heading back to his chambers as I glanced at Blake, who dipped his head, then followed Cassian behind.Oh Junip

  • Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win   The King's Mate and Friend

Katrina’s point of viewThe walk towards Cassian’s chambers had me thinking of how empty the palace was now. We lost so many people two days ago, and the cleaning was taking much time than we had hoped.“Luna Katrina,” Blake, the man who had stopped me from seeing Cassian the last time I was here, greets me by curtly bowing his head.“He is waiting for you,” he gestured for me towards the door, and I knocked once before letting myself in.“Cassian?” I called, making my way to his lounge. I found him sitting on the floor, his hand holding a bottle of whiskey while it rested on his raised knee, and his head hung low.I made my way towards the couch and pushed the table back before sitting across from him. I crossed my legs, then sighed heavily.A moment passed, and I just watched him as he brought the bottle to his lips, downing it like it was just water, then leaned back.I looked next to him, and there was another empty bottle. “I trusted him, you know,” he started.Me too.“He was li

  • Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win   Not Three But More

Katrina’s point of view“Any news on the men going after Ryan?” Cassian asked us as I turned to Lucius, hoping he might have any news. “We managed to track him down into the black mountains, but nothing so far,” He explained, “We managed to capture some of his men, and we didn’t get enough information from them.”“And any chance he might be working with other people?” I asked, and Lucius shifted his attention to me, shaking his head.“Not yet. We are doing everything we can to make sure to find out who helped orchestra this. I don’t think he was acting alone.”“Start with his family. I want everyone brought in.”“Your grace if I may,” Alpha Chandler chimed in, as we all shifted our attention to him. I have never known him to speak in meetings, but today he wanted to say something.“I believe the beta’s family shouldn’t be treated in this manner. I understand he might have turned on his people, but I believe interrogating his family isn’t something we should be thinking about, conside

  • Luna Duet : May The Best Luna Win   The Alpha King's New Mate

Cassian’s point of viewMy body aches, and everything feels like it’s spinning. Katrina is sobbing. She feels helpless. I feel like I am stuck somewhere and can’t move.My mind is awake, but my body feels heavy. I can’t move.I’m dying.Ryan betrayed me. He sold me out. Why? My eyes snap open, and I am in my chambers.“Cass?” Lucius’s voice comes as I look at him. He is in his usual ugly colors. Black and green.“Luc. You are alive.”“Yes. We both are. How are you feeling?”“Pain. And tired” and fucking horny. Why the hell do I feel horny? I haven’t had a hard one in months.“That’s good. There’s something I wanted to talk to you about.”“Okay. Can it wait? I need to speak to the council of elders and the rogue king,” I try to pull off the sheets.‘Someone marked us!’ my wolf growls‘Someone what!’I brought my hand to my neck, and for real, someone marked us. “What the fuck?”“About that. Someone had to mark you so that you could share the pain and, well, suck out the poison,” Lucius
