MasukTheon POV
We spent the whole day watching the house and the children. The boys, for sure, look like Hayden, and their smell is unmistakable. Alpha's blood's smell is impossible to be mistaken with anything. I can smell my kin.
I took my Beta Tony and two pack warriors with me, and the four of us spent an extremely long day watching the house and waiting for the kids to be left alone. My wolf is livid, and honestly, I want that to be over as soon as possible.
When we make sure that all neighbors are gone, and so is the guy in a suit, for sure the lawyer, Tony goes to the main door and knocks. One of the twins opens the door.
Usually, I would prefer to do it calmly, I would prefer not to scare them, but today I have no time for that. Tony immediately grabs the boy, who opens the door, and we enter the house. I see the girl, the oldest one looking at us. The boy struggles in my Beta's arms, and the hell breaks loose….
"Don't you dare fucking touch him," the girl screams and grabs the knife; she runs in our direction.
I smirk, knowing that she's no match to us; a human girl is no match to me.
And that comes the first surprise. She attacks, and I dodge, but she knows what she's doing. She knows how to handle the knife, I try to pull it out of her hands, but she dodges again and is able to scratch me.
Fuck, it stings; it's silver. So for sure, the fact that they don't know who they are is out of the window now.
In the next few minutes, everything is complete chaos. The tiny baby girl is crying and screaming like crazy, boys held down by my pack members are screaming, kicking, and trying to bite the arms holding them. They are too weak to stand against my warriors but have been trained.
They don't kick blindly; their movements are pretty accurate and quite well-placed. Whoever was teaching them taught them well. The same is true with the girl; she was also taught well.
She's the biggest surprise of them all. She looks me dead in the eyes, I can see her fear, but I can also see her determination. She's prepared to pay every price she will have to pay to protect her siblings. I try to grab her, but she's very good at dodging me.
I try to pull the knife out of her hand, but she manages to scratch me again, this time on my cheek. Fucking silver, this wound will probably be there till tomorrow.
Finally, even though it takes a moment, I am able to take the knife away from her. I press her against the kitchen counter.
Honestly, I'm trying not to kill her accidentally. That's why I'm so fucking clumsy, and that's why it takes so much time.
She struggles, and she tries to bite. I can see she's in panic, but she still manages to put up quite a fight. She's a feisty one. I look her dead in the eye, pressed to her body. She is quite beautiful with long blonde hair, blue eyes, and excellent body features. She has quite a nice ass. And she smells terrific.
"Listen to me, and listen to me well, " I whisper into her ear. "One more move and I will hurt you seriously. Is it clear?"
"Crystal," she spits to me; I loosen my grip on her throat, put my hand in her hair, and force her to stand and look at me.
"First, you will take the little one and make her shut up. And you boys, I strongly recommend you to stop moving, or this all will end ugly," I growl.
She takes the small girl in her arms, and the little one immediately latches on her for dear life. Also, the twins stop struggling when they see that their sisters are no longer in direct danger.
"Now, kids will stay here, and your will go upstairs with Andrew and pack your bags. You will take your clothes, toothbrushes, and teddy bears if you need them because we are going quite far away from here," I say.
They have gone upstairs; the children are sitting on the couch. One of the boys is holding the small girl, and she sobs quietly into his chest.
The other one keeps looking at me or my Beta with wary eyes, tensed and ready to protect them if necessary.
They both are almost identical, and they look a lot like Hayden. If I remember correctly, they are 11. The little girl must be around 3-4. I can smell a very faint wolf scent from her, probably because she's half-wolf and her mother was an omega. Boys smell strong, their alpha's blood is strong, and Hayden's smell is strong.
Fifteen minutes later, I heard the movement and saw Andrew and the girl going down. The only problem is she stands behind Andrew with another blade pressed firmly to his neck with tiny drops of his blood already on the knife.
"It's silver; if I have to kill him, I will do it," she says, but her voice is shaking. "I want your car keys, and you will let us leave."
I can feel my blood boiling, my canines and claws are out, and my wolf is trying to take control. That piece of shit, my pack warrior, allowed himself to be overpowered by the teenage human girl, pathetic excuse of a wolf!
I don't think; I act; I jump on them both, pushing them to the floor. I hurt Andrew with my claws in the process, but the pathetic thing deserves it. She for sure hasn't expected me to hurt my own man, but she could have seriously injured him if she had wanted to. She had time for that.
I throw Andrew off of her, grab her by her neck, pulling her up. I drag her down the stairs. I throw her on the floor when I feel sharp teeth in my leg. One of the twins manages to bite me. I shove him off and raise my hand to hit him.
"No!" the girl screams and covers him immediately with her own body, and because of that, she takes the slap.
After that, there is hell again. The little girl is crying loudly in her other brother's arms, who is struggling to go to his siblings, but Tony holds him still.
There is a judgemental look on my Beta's face. The second twin's arms are around his older sister's waist, and she holds him in a tight grip looking at me with hate.
"Tony, take the kids to the car; Caleb, go upstairs and take their bags if she managed to pack them,” “and you bitch" I grab her and pull her towards me; my face is inches from hers, my canines still out "next time you will pull something like that I will rip your flesh.
Andrew, when you heal yourself, you will have to get home on your own. It's your punishment for your pathetic behavior."
I drag her by her arm, I'm sure I'm leaving bruises, but honestly, I don't care. No one got the nerve to challenge me like this for years, and I'm so pissed off right now.
Thanks, Goddess; I decided to drive here in a limo, so at least our journey will be pretty comfortable unless they all start crying. I think if they cry too loud or too long, I may break some legs. I fucking hate family dramas.
Leah POVAs the next full moon comes, a big bonfire is prepared at the clearing in the woods. Today is the day all the wolves from both packs are gathered here, and the new pack will be born.I sense the tension within the pack; the change that will come is big. But somehow, I feel excited thinking of all that hard work Theon, Hank, I, and many others will have to do.I look at all who are gathered. I spot familiar faces within the crowd. I see Kyle and Rose smiling at me, I see the always serious face of Dalton, I see the gentle smile on Hank and a blank expression on Ryan's face, and I see Gideon sending a calm smile towards me.The council member who came here to sanction the creation of the Black Moon Pack is giving a long and boring speech which I don't listen to. I look into Theon’s eyes as he stands in front of me, and I'm sure he doesn't listen, either. On my neck is placed his mark. Finally, he has marked me too, and finally, we are one.I can sense his emotions much better n
Theon POVFear..I'm familiar with it; after all, it was one of my greatest companions during my childhood. For years I've learned how to deal with it, how not to let it consume me, and how to analyze and not panic. When I saw Lyra in Jake's arms, I knew that I couldn't take him head-on. His claws were on her neck, and no matter how fast I was, I would've never made it. Plus, there was determination in his eyes. For whatever reason, he did this; he was ready to go till the end.So I did what he demanded and first put on the collar. In the pack, we call them rogue's collars; they are made of silver. When they are placed on werewolves, they make shifting almost impossible, and they cut the possibility of communicating through the mindlink. In the injection, there was silver, not enough to kill, but enough to bury Byron very deep in my mind, so he won't be able to help me, and my strength would diminish significantly. When I finished, Jake smirked and got in the direction of shelves, whe
SMUT warning in this chapterTheon POVAs I wake up from my deep slumber, I feel nothing except tiredness. These last few days, no matter how much I sleep, I still feel tired. It's been ten days since my brother has been in a coma, it's been eight days since I buried my best friend, and it's been four days since his family left, which made me break my promise to him that if anything happened, I would look after them.As I am used to, I keep myself together during the day. I am an Alpha; no matter what, I can't show any weakness. Especially not now when my pack suffered such a big loss. But still, I cry every night; for the first time in my life, I allow myself to cry; I allow myself not to be okay. For the first time, I feel there is no shame in feeling weak, in missing something that was taken from us.Leah holds me every night as I cry and feel helpless. The last few days I spent away from everything. Leah, Patrick, and Rose made it clear that they can take care of everything for s
Leah POVI sit in the window frame in the pack's infirmary. Luca is sleeping on my lap; I gently pat his hair listening to quiet "beep, beep" sounds.Hayden's heartbeat is very weak, yet he is still alive.I look at all the machines he is attached to, feeling strong pain in my chest. But I don't cry, and I don't have any strength to cry anymore. It's been five days since the bloodshed, and Hayden hasn't woken up. When we finally managed to get to him in that cellar, he was already in a coma. He didn't become feral, but we don't know if he will ever wake up again.Gideon said that there was a high chance that Hayden's wolf was gone, and losing the wolf is almost always a death sentence. Yet Hayden is still alive, and we can do only one thing, we can only wait.Luca is here because Gideon made it clear that the presence of his pups may be the only way to help Hayden. I didn't even have to ask them; they agreed immediately to stay next to him all the time. They sleep here, and during th
Leah POV "You must do it!" Hayden keeps begging me while I keep pacing around our cell in every direction, trying to spot something, anything I can possibly use to find a way out of it."Hayden, shut up, please!" I finally snap and scream at him. "I won't hurt you; you're my friend; you are my family! I won't do it, do you fucking hear me!"He grits his teeth hard; I see his anger but also his helplessness."How much time do we have?" I ask as I avert my eyes. I don't want to show him how scared I am."She gave me a lot, plus my legs are broken, so my wolf is pushing harder to heal me. I think maybe half an hour, but no more.”"Ok, Becca said that you could survive Red Venom if you didn't shift. I know it's difficult, but can you at least try? Your wolf isn't as strong as he was before, so maybe you can...""Leah," he interrupts me, "I can try, but there is no point if Theon won't find us quickly, there is no point. And your chances of killing me now are better..""No, they are not!"
Leah POVSomeone is repeating my name again and again and again. My head feels heavy, and so does the rest of my body. It's as if a ton of bricks were lying on me, and I have problems with moving. I have absolutely no energy in me, even to open my eyes. For a moment, I try to figure out where I am, what has just happened, why my head is so painful, and why I'm lying on something cold. The celebration, Gideon's panic, Hank being poisoned, and afterward screams from the garden, and then someone hit me in the head. The realization of the recent events comes to me, and that's what makes me open my eyes despite the terrible pain I'm still in."Leah! Oh, my Goddess, Leah!" Hayden keeps saying. So he was the one who has been calling me all this time.I sit slowly and slowly look around. We are in some kind of basement, at least that's how it looks like, judging from the dusty floor, no windows, and quite frothy air inside.Hayden is chained to the wall with the silver; of course, I see burns
