(author's POV)Lilith found Valerie exactly where she had left her.On her bed, staring at the ceiling.She hadn't moved much since we returned from Clara's room yesterday. Lilith stood in the doorway for a moment, watching her.Her heart ached so badly.Valerie looked so small beneath the blankets, nothing like the terrifying force that had nearly destroyed everything around her only days ago.She was still her little girl, her baby.And right now, she looked more frightened of herself than anyone else could possibly be frightened of her."Valerie." She called in a soft voice, but Valerie didn't respond. She walked farther into the room, sitting beside her on the bed. "Sweetheart, come downstairs with me, it's lunchtime.""I don't want to." Valerie mumbled, staring upward."But you need to eat baby." "I'm not hungry mom." She shifted slightly on the bed, still staring upward."You haven't been eating properly Valerie, and it's dangerous.""Not as dangerous as myself, aperrently."

(author's POV)Clara remained beneath the blankets, looking exhausted.Her face no longer looked pale, and she had stopped shivering uncontrollably but she was nothing like the lively girl she'd been only days ago.The doctor stepped away from her after a few minutes of steady full body inspection, he closed his bag and slowly turned to Helena who had been standing beside the bed the entire time watching every movement."Her condition is stable." He said with a small smile. Helena immediately stepped closer towards him. "Are you certain she'll be fine?""Yes." He nodded. "There's no immediate danger.""Well, how long before she's completely better?"The doctor gave her a reassuring smile."With proper rest, she should begin feeling considerably better within a few days.""A few days?""Yes."He picked up the medicine he had placed on the bedside table."Have her take these exactly as prescribed."Helena looked down at the bottles, then back at the doctor. (author's POV)Valerie ran as fast as she could until she was in her room, she slammed the door shut and threw herself onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably.She had lost her best friend because of her powers, and now, just when she was beginning to move on again, she finally found someone who gets along with her without her trying so hard, and her powers has somehow, ended up chasing him away.She had managed to keep a neutral feeling about her powers before because her mother had maintained that moon goddess blesses everyone with a unique path, but with everything that has happened, she was beginning to really hate whatever those powers were that lived inside of her...Downstairs, Helena finally pulled herself out of the dizziness from the fall, slowly regaining consciousness.Clara however laid on the floor, coughing furiously while breathing hard, her arms and neck where Valerie had grabbed were bright red and bruised.
