Amalthea's POV

"I thought you were out," Mikayla announced as she shut the library door behind her.

"Why would you think that?" I asked with a quirk of my brow.

"Because Nic went to see the seer and since you left with him the other time, I thought you would go with him this time as well." She informed me with a shrug as she settled beside me and opened the book she had been holding in her hand.

"Nic went to see the seer?" I asked slowly.

"Yes, I thought you knew." She said.

"I must have forgotten," I muttered but the look on her face told me she didn't believe me.

"So have you decided what you want to do about the matebane curse?" She asked, changing the subject and my eyes snapped up to hers.

"Is there anything I can do?" I inquired.

"I don't know, you tell me. You are the primordial here," she shrugged.

"Well I'm clueless on what to do," I muttered as I hugged myself.

"Enough sober talk, how was your training with Nic?" Mikayla tu
