Amalthea's POV

"I was so scared I wasn't going to get any broth today," I muttered as Clara dropped the tray onto my bed.

"Why? Because you know you are making stupid

decisions?" She called out bluntly and I flinched.

"I'm sorry alright, really. I just have a lot going on," she apologized and I slowly nodded as I took a spoon from my chicken broth.

"I thought after our little chat last night you would want nothing to do with me," I confessed and Clara's eyes immediately softened.

"You need a real friend now in your life more than ever, I won't stop talking to you just because you're confused. Despite what you think, I get how hard this must be for you and I'm not going to mount pressure on you to believe me. I'm going to let nature take its course and if you realize I was right along the line then that's fine." She explained with a shrug and I nodded as I bit my bottom lip.
