Amalthea's POV

"Will you wipe off that grin from your face?" Jade shook her head at me as she helped me fold some of my clothes into a box I would take with me to the conference.

After the bonfire, I had sought Jade out and apologized for being rude to her and pouring out my frustrations on her. She has also offered her apologies for leaving me by myself all night and just like that we were friends once again.

"There is no grin on my face." I argued as I failed miserably to keep my face neutral and devoid of emotion.

"Who would have ever thought Nic could get you to smile and be so giddy?" She teased.

"I'm not giddy because of Nicholson. I'm just happy I get a change in scenery and I get to see the famous capitol." I shrugged, lying through my teeth.

"You aren't fooling anyone Thea." She snorted and I knew she didn't believe me, it didn't seem believable even to my ears.
