He wore a red regal robe, adorned with golden royal beads.

My eyes moved to his hair— packed in a low ponytail gathered at the nape of his neck.

I gulped hard into nothing. I dragged my gaze back to his face.

I bit down on my lips.

"Are..you going somewhere?"

He only shook his head stiffly.

My heart thrummed loudly against my chest. But I spoke again. “Which one are you?”

He barely moved. “Guess.”

I sucked in a sharp breath. “Naren?”

Something dark pooled in his eyes. “No."

My heart accelerated, thrumming harder than before.

I suddenly wished he was Naren, because if he wasn't. He’s Lucien.
