*Arielle's Pov*

I heard screams and I jolted out my sleep. Aiish, those girls. Then it clicked, oh, it must be happening. Aiden must be looking for his mate now. He must have seen her in his dreams.

A sorrowful taste played on my lips and I gulped it down painfully. It's over. This would totally change things between us. His mate, which could be enough definitely won't want a female bestie for her mate. I needed to come to that realization slowly and come to accept it.

I wouldn't want one for my mate too, right? My mate, who won't be Aiden.

Lol. The screams reduced, well, I guess it must have happened. He must have found his mate. Should it have reduced? If he found his mate, shouldn't everyone be happy and all, except it was someone they didn't want.

Hmm, who could that be. I couldn't help but be nosy, so I walked in. As I stepped into the main hall, I met him- his eyes, red and dark. His eyes fell on me and it widened slowly.

My..? Wolf? Wolfie..? I called? My face fell, and so did Aiden's steps, he got stuck, like he couldn't move, his feet rooted. Was he going to reject me? Did my wolf run cause she knew he would. No, that doesn't work like that. What was going on?

My.. wolf.. I had just gotten my wolf, where was she.. Gone. And like that, I felt hollow, and empty again.

And Aiden turned at once, his back at me. Rejected, I felt. He didn't, I wasn't his mate. It must have been a..

And so, a loud noise erupted, screams. My eyes widened slowly, I couldn't believe this. I wasn't his mate, but she was. She was right, she had always been right. She was everything I wasn't, and she was better. And then, I turned and left, I walked and walked, and sobbed till I couldn't anymore.

In one night, I lost my best friend, my mate- who was my mate for a few seconds, and my wolf, who left me immediately. No one wanted me, not even my own wolf. And so I mourned, the loss of this all.

*Ariana's POV*

I couldn't believe this. What was happening? I was confused. Standing in the hallway, a weird.. looking Aiden, and then it hits me. Mate. Mate?

And before I could blink, he plunged at me, carrying me off my feet and into his room, screams echoing till we got to his room.

I couldn't believe this, I was Aiden's mate. Oh my god! The realization was yet to kick in.

"Ai.. den" I called, and his lips landed on mine and I gave in immediately, and it was all a blur. What happened after that? I didn't know.

All I knew was I woke up, the scent of pancakes filled the air, burning ones actually.

Which omega was that and why did she suck so much at cooking. Definitely doing a good job in proving, omegas were useless. I needed to fire her- that I shall do once I officially become the Luna, I can't let her paint a bad reputation for us all.

Then it hit me, Luna? Oh my god, I was going to be the Luna! I screamed internally, pulling the duvet over my head, and biting really hard on it to stifle my screams. I couldn't believe this, it felt unreal.

I stopped, stilled. Did.. did we..? Last night was a blur, I couldn't remember anything. Why can't I remember anything?

Did we?.. I asked myself again and turned to the mirror that was just standing right on the floor, long enough to see my reflection while still on the bed..I moved closer, to the edge, rolling with my duvet wrapping around my body as I moved.

My eyes widened, it's there.. the mark, I could barely feel it, but it's there. He marked me! Oh my god, he marked me! I was officially his mate.

We must have had a good night, but why couldn't I remember it? It doesn't matter anyways. A blush tainted my cheeks as I got up the bed slowly, studying Aiden's room. All white and modern, just like him. I liked it. I bit my lips, I would visit here often, in fact I could come here anytime. It was my first time here, the main pack house was different from the alpha's abode, and I was right here in his abode, in his son's room.

Not many were allowed here, not even Lauren. A smirk played on my lips, Lauren. I beat the queen bee, I was now officially the future Luna, she had no choice but to respect me now.

And my dear little twin sister, she would always come here and I would feel jealous but right now, I could come here anytime too. And I held more value than she did now to Aiden. I was his mate and she was just his.. best friend. That little title could change too.

I got up abruptly at once, then stopped. Did we.. we didn't do it? I couldn't feel anything down there, we probably did right? There was no way he could have marked me without us having sex. The thought of us having sex sent another blush to my cheeks. god, why did I have to fall asleep.

I noticed a flip flop just right at the edge of the bed, it looked new. He must have bought it specially for me.

I smiled, practically a blush and made my way out of the room.

I descended the stairs slowly, and I was met with the most beautiful view ever, Aiden, struggling to bake a pancake.. for me.

A smile crept up my face. I couldn't believe this, this felt like heaven.
