CHAPTER 6
ALLEGRA Lucius guided me around the pack elders' seats while holding my hand. I had to accept their blessings by bowing before them. We greeted the elders and then made our way over to the other pack authorities. The others, like gamma and beta. After we greeted each other, Lucius formally introduced them to me. Their eyes told me a lot was going on in their minds. They weren't convinced that I was their Luna. They also had questions I could see clearly in their eyes. Like, where did she come from? The news that their alpha had unexpectedly attracted a mate startled and unsettled them. I greeted everyone pleasantly and ignored them in all of these. I was unsure if Lucius saw it as well or if it was just me. I still chose to act composed. "She's... pretty," said one of them. "Like a ghost that she appears to be." I took a deep breath and carried on strolling. "Are you sure you know what a Luna is?" I was baited by another one. "This isn't a fashion parade model home. It's the duty of embodying Luna for all packs." I was aware that Lucius could hear everything. I chose to disregard their nasty comments and continue to fake a grin. I pretended that they were compliments. Since they weren't my top priority at the moment, it would be best to ignore them. They didn't even rank in the top ten of my primary focus, so why should I give their hate speech and comments so much attention? I saw the way they gazed at me. I didn't give a damn, even though I knew they were hurt that a stranger would now be their Luna. Their hatred went completely unnoticed by me. Holding my hand, Lucius and I made our way back to my seat. I made an effort to maintain my grin, but it was difficult. Even though I knew my smile was goofy now, I had to endure it until I reached my seat. applauded and gave me a shout. However, I could tell by looking at certain people's faces that they didn't want me to be their Luna. Since there was nothing they could do about it, I was left undisturbed. Nothing at all. as I looked from person to person. Someone in the congregation caught my eye. Right away, our gazes locked. I had icy chills down my back. I stared at her, trying to pinpoint what it was and why. She was someone I knew. I could hardly put a finger on who she was in my previous life. I'd almost made it to my seat when I thought of her. I had her as my maid in a previous life. There was still one more thing to ask, now that I had identified her. Why was she in this place? She was not intended to be here, and she didn't belong here. Lucius had slipped my mind entirely. I wasn't even paying attention to him while he was holding my hand and speaking to me. "Allegra, are you even listening to me? Lucius questioned. "Oh," I groaned. "I am sorry." Without saying anything, Lucius just kept staring at me. I asked him, "Can you repeat what you said?" "It's not significant," he answered. "Here you go..." That's when I realized we had arrived at my seat. Lucius raised my finger and gave it a gentle kiss. I gave another flimsy, weak smile. "When I'm done from there, I'll be with you," Lucius said, gesturing toward the stage. I did not say anything, just nodded. I smiled back at him as he narrowed his eyes at me. He had to have seen my odd behavior. He should find out from his leaders what they did to me, then. I took a seat at my desk. I noticed the maid still. The people's chairs were next to mine where she was sitting. Even if I tilted my head slightly to face them, I could still make out their faces from mine. There, I noticed her seated. And before I had a chance to reflect or speak further. She bolted from the hallway. I got up and hurriedly started to follow her. When I'd caught up with her, I wasn't sure precisely what to say to her. Still, I wanted to get a good look at her first. I wouldn't know what to tell her or not tell her till after that. I chased her from the hallway. Even from the hallway, I could still plainly and loudly hear the ceremony. As Lucius talked over the microphone, I could hear him. I hoped he hadn't seen me go, but I worried if he had. I would listen to his voice; if it ceased any time soon, he had left the stage. The hallway was intricate and vast. and it was crowded with people. I followed her till she vanished among those people. I glanced around and saw her through the hallway windows. I realized that the only way I could catch up to her would be to utilize the window, which was clearly not an option. Calling out to one of the guards, "Hey," He ran over to me and knelt. "Look here," I said, gesturing to the housekeeper. "I hope you have seen her?" He gave a nod. I urged him to go find her and bring her to me. "What?" he inquired. I told him, "Do not bring me another woman." All he did was nod and turn to go. I watched the woman intently, thinking the guard would be able to get close to her. I could feel my heart quicken in anticipation of the guards' arrival. I was hoping he would capture her. I continued to look at her. I wanted to know when the guard was on course and when he wasn't, and I didn't want to lose her. I nearly pissed in my trousers when I felt a touch on my shoulder shortly after. When I turned back and saw Lucius standing there, I let out a heavy sigh. "Ahh! You scared me," I said, holding my chest. " I'm sorry, "he said He was examining me thoroughly. He was staring at me with a dubious expression on his face. "Are you okay?" He enquired. "Me?" I questioned. Chasing after the maid, I had lost track of his voice. And now that Lucius had me off guard, he was going to keep asking me questions. I calmly replied, "I'm fine," observing Lucius's eager gaze on me. "Are you sure?" He enquired. "This sudden change in action and your facial expressions don't say the same." Telling him, "I am well and together," I gritted my teeth again. Lucius made comments about it without hesitation, and I was certain that it turned out poorly. "That," pointing to my face, he replied. "That's precisely the topic I'm discussing. Your grins were deceitful as well." "Believe me," I said to Lucius. "I'm doing well. I'm alright. With a nod, Lucius grasped my hand. He gripped my hand tighter even though I wanted to remove it from his. "If you really want this to work, then we have to play it real and smart." He spoke softly into my ear. Some people were glancing at us in the hallway, I observed. To give the impression that he had murmured something nice in m y ear, I faked a blush. "Let's enter," he said. Grinning, I gave him a nod and trailed back into the hall, wishing that the guard would pursue the maid for me.Chapter 152 ALLEGRA After five years, when everything had finally settled down and everyone was living in harmony, it was time to celebrate the fourth year of the Crescent Moonstone Pack. Yes, that is the new name for our pack instead of giving the impression that Lucius had taken over my pack. Instead, we wanted to demonstrate how two hearts had united. Oh, there are two packs of laughs. Five years later, I gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, who at the time we thought were only one child. Although they have grown up to be mischievous, they are still the sweetest little thing imaginable. Sitting in the garden, I observed them running around while the maid trailed behind them. My face was made brighter by a smile. To me, this child was everything, and they completed everything. Many things had happened over the years; Lisa was freed from severe torture and fled to the human world. No one had seen or heard from her since, but I knew that she would never set foot in this pla
CHAPTER 151 AVA POV At last, Lucius consented to leave the room with Allegra. I instantly extended my arms to hug my friend. "I'm really glad finally I have found my mate, surprisingly." "Same here, Ava." He put his hands on my chick and answered. My entire body was tingling with goosebumps, and I couldn't contain my enthusiasm. "I am extremely thankful for coming to the rescue of my life, you know." "It's really nothing dear, who I'm I not to save such a damsel as you." "If not for the presence I could only imagine what my situation would be like now." "Well, I'm also happy my present was significant cause I didn't only save you but now I found my mate as well.” I flirted more and more, and he responded. We started kissing and touching each other, with him looking into my eyes and me into his. "I had waited so long to find my mate, never did I know the time was approaching." As we relished the beautiful moment, I said something to him. "Ouchh... My head aches a bit." "
CHAPTER 150 ALLEGRA POV Despite my best efforts and those of Lucius's mother, he remained steadfast and full of heart. I could tell Lucius was pulsating with anger and agony. "Lucius, please listen to us. Lisa deserves this; please don't take her life so quickly." I persisted in pleading with Lucius to allow Lisa to go through the torturous process; I didn't want her to die too quickly because she was already having trouble breathing. "What are you planning on doing to Lisa?" "She'll be starved to death until I'm satisfied and flogged in public." While he was at work in the dungeon, Lucius answered me. "L..u..c..i..u..s” "Ava is conscious, thank goodness you defeated death." The Beta said that upon hearing her voice, Ava attempted to sit up and made a feeble, low-pitched appeal for Lucius. Lisa was instantly freed by Lucius, and Ava's voice could be heard. "Ava, you're at last awake." Mother, Lucius, and I hurried to the bed to assist Ava in quietly searching up. "Ava,
CHAPTER 149 LUCIUS POV "What could have happened now to Ava, I just pray she's fine." As we hurried to see how Ava was doing, Allegra murmured to me. "What's wrong, what happened to Ava?" "Is she hurt?" Allegra and I went straight to Ava's room and started asking random questions. My parents were sitting next to her on her bed, seemingly comatose, and a strange individual was in front of them. "She was brought unconscious to the pack, by this young man who happened to see her and rush her here." Allegra walked up to Ava's bed to check on her and Mother answered. "Good morning ma, here is the blow of water and towel you asked for.”When the maiden entered with a blow and a towel, Allegra picked it up and gave it to Ava's mother, who used it to compress Ava's head. "Young man, I'm extremely thankful for your kind act of rushing her back to the pack and not trying to take advantage of her condition." "If not for you only who knows what will have been happening to her by now." Whi
CHAPTER 148LUCIUS POV That relationship I sensed something was off as the woman I saw came into view. It was Allegra, not Lisa, and everything started to become clear. I started to remember the times I had spent with Allegra, including how I had assisted her in getting revenge. I also remembered the night of the coronation, when Allegra told me she was pregnant. My heart skipped a beat; I nearly passed out. Allegra was terrified because she was seeing this happen right before her eyes."Lucius, what is the issue? Speak to me, are you alright?" She spoke, but I was unable to speak. I was reduced to tears. Allegra gave me a baby-like hug. I was upset with myself for speaking to her in such a cruel way and even for demeaning her. "I apologize, my love, I'm so sorry". Allegra was in disbelief when I told her, sobbing. She raised my head and gave me a direct gaze. "Lucius, can you recognize me?" I lowered my head in shame and nodded; she started crying too and gave me such a strong
CHAPTER 147 LISA POV It's annoying that everyone appears to be meddling in my affairs at the moment. It's unbelievable that the guards are now paying so close attention to me. I had to get out of here quickly. I have to stop taking chances or else my plans will not work out. As soon as I left my room, I saw how closely guarded the entire home was. No one can escape without being recognized since the level of security has been doubled. What should I do now? I have to get to the forest immediately, and I most surely don't want to be discovered.I went back into the room, grabbed a pile of clothes, and hid a disguise in them so I could leave without anyone noticing. Luckily, no one was there when I headed to the laundry, so I took a chance and used the door to escape the house's security and enter the woods. When I finally managed to leave the house, I made sure that no one saw me or was following me. I also wore a cape to conceal my identity in case I was found.I ventured deep i
