Seraphine

I looked up to see the Beta standing in front of me, a tray with tea in hand. Why…?

“I thought you could use a warm drink after a swim,” he said, placing the tray on a nearby table. His sudden presence stopped me cold; I had been on the verge of crying, and of course, I couldn't break down now.

“Why would you? You’re no butler or servant,” I challenged. He was, after all, a noble—unlike me.

“I am still obligated, as Beta, to maintain oversight regarding the welfare of any candidate for Luna.” he stated simply.

I couldn’t help but laugh at the way he spoke. “You speak so lifeless.”

I rested my chin on the back of my hand and gave my head a slight tilt. “Well then, Beta, for the ‘welfare’ of this candidate, you wouldn’t mind accompanying me for a while, would you?”

I saw how he averted his gaze and lightly touched his earlobe. “Not at all,” he replied.

Oh. Was he feeling shy? I couldn't help but cover my mouth, completely overwhelmed and delighted by the sight of his crimson e

ErsaSlowly, his arms returned the hug, wrapping tightly around me, and he buried his face in the curve of my neck. I didn’t know for how long we stayed that way, suspended in the shared silence, until I felt him press a gentle, warm kiss onto my neck.He withdrew, and I gasped at the sensation, my hand flying instantly to the spot he had marked. Then, he held my cheek, caressing it with his thumb before giving me a soft, brief peck on the side of my lips. Finally, his full focus returned to me, and he locked his lips on mine. This time, it was slow that I couldn’t help but savor it and return the way he kisses me. Then, he parted my lips with his tongue, entering it.This time, the kiss unfolded slowly, allowing me to savor every brush of his lips against mine. I returned it eagerly, my mouth moving in sync with his. Then, his tongue slipped past my parted lips, delving into my mouth, exploring with a teasing depth that sent warmth pooling in my belly. What began as tender soon ignit

ErsaI woke up, and the first thing I noticed was the Alpha’s scent, thick and all-encompassing. The scent was richer, heavier than it had been when I accidentally fell asleep earlier. I wondered why.Luckily, he wasn’t there when I woke up.Afraid he might still be somewhere in the room, I tiptoed out, my body moving with exaggerated caution. Once out the door, I didn't stop, running as fast as I could back toward my own room. With a loud thud, I locked the door and finally collapsed onto my own bed. He’s going to be the death of me, I thought, pulling the sheets over my head as I replayed what had happened. It was all so new—an experience I never thought was possible.I could still feel the undeniable wetness between my legs. Driven by a desperate, unfamiliar curiosity, I reached out and cautiously touched myself. It was all there, the undeniable proof of the Alpha's effect on me.As if falling into a trance, I let myself replay the scene, the heat of the fantasy making me dizzy. M

Alpha Sanovar“Keep it short, Ronan,” I said, dropping into the chair behind my desk, my patience fraying like an old rope.“Understood, Alpha.” He moved efficiently, spreading out several sheets of paper across the polished dark wood. “No one's ever laid eyes on the Moon Goddess herself, but these mark potential sites where she might appear, doling out her oracles to the faithful.”I leaned forward, scanning the details. “Beyond hunches, has anyone actually spotted her?”He shook his head, expression grim. “Nothing solid yet. But I'm pulling in top investigators—discreet ones who know how to chase shadows without stirring up the pack.”“Fine. Anything else?”Ronan paused, his eyes flicking down for a split second. “Even with every resource we throw at it, this task... it's impossible, Alpha. You know that.”I sighed, rubbing a hand over my jaw. “Yeah, I do. But Ynovar came at me hard last time—couldn't exactly tell him to fuck off.” The absurdity hit me like a gut punch; the old Alph

Ersa“Please, Alpha. I'm begging you, stop playing games with me.”“Hm.” He only replied, his face inching closer, his gaze locked onto mine as if I were the only thing in the world. I could feel the heat radiating off his body, overwhelming every thought. His face was slowly getting closer and closer until I could only shut my eyes. What a pathetic pushover you are, Ersa. Or maybe, I was just plainly stupid. His lips crashed against mine, nothing like the teasing ones from before—this kiss was raw hunger, wild and savage, devouring me whole. His mouth claimed mine with a ferocity that made my pulse thunder, his tongue thrusting in without mercy, tangling with mine in a heated duel that left me breathless and dizzy. I felt the scrape of his teeth nipping at my lower lip as he growled low in his throat. Before I could catch my breath, his strong hands gripped my buttocks, lifting me effortlessly off the floor. My legs wrapped around his waist on instinct, and goddess, I felt his hard m

ErsaOnce I gained my composure, I forced myself to return to the mansion. I found Seraphine in one of the living rooms.“Oh, there you are, Ersa. So, you did withdraw as well,” she said. She stood up, gently grabbing my hand and pulling me down to sit beside her.“In the end, Everine won,” she informed me, pouting slightly. “I honestly thought it would be you.”“Why would you think that?” I asked, looking at her curiously.“Well, aren’t you and the Alpha... well, never mind.”I didn’t want to talk about it anymore, but I couldn't help asking the one question that would give me facts to cling to, rather than feelings. “How did she win?”“Actually, that wasn’t the test,” Seraph corrected me, her voice buzzing with fresh gossip. “It was a last man standing kind of thing. Lyanna told me that when you dropped out, she decided to as well.” Then she leaned closer, dropping her voice to a low, conspiratorial whisper: “Despite her sitting on his lap and kissing him, it won’t get up.”“What wo

ErsaNothing of note happened for the past few weeks, a strange lull that only broke when the last special test was finally announced. By next week, we were scheduled to face the First Trial: Wolf’s Fang.We were all summoned and lined up outside a designated room.“A pleasant day to you, ladies. This will be the last time I will be handling your special test. A different Prefect will be assigned once the first Trial is finished,” Madame Koraline explained. With the Trial drawing near, I couldn’t help but be plagued by the memory of the Phantom Alpha’s words: to continue with the Trials.I felt a sudden chill run down my spine at the thought. If I do continue, will I actually find something by the end of it?“I will miss you, Madame Koraline!” Seraph declared with dramatic, teary eyes.“Oh, quit your acts, Seraphine. If those tears are real, I’d say they’re out of happiness now that I’m leaving,” Madame Koraline replied dryly.Seraph giggled at the Prefect’s comment.“Let us move on.”
