Catherine pov.

As I opened my eyes, the blurry image of myself lying on the ground came into focus. I slowly stood up and squinted my eyes to adjust to the bright sunlight. Looking in the direction of the voice, I saw a little child crying and recognized him as Andrew.

"Andrew," I exclaimed as I hurried over to pick him up. His cries ceased as soon as he saw me, and I held him tightly, closing my eyes to take in the warmth of the moment.

"I'm so sorry," I whispered softly, and suddenly, a distant yell interrupted our peaceful moment.

"Lora!"

My head turned sharply to the source of the noise, and I saw Lux staring at me with an intense glare. I felt a shiver run down my spine, seeing his anger radiating from his eyes. I took a step back, feeling uncertain about what to do next.

"Return my son to me," he demanded in a deep, stern voice.

Quickly putting Andrew down, I scooped him up again as soon as he started crying, soothing him until he giggled and calmed down. Lux started approaching
