Catherine pov.

I found myself standing alone in a deserted area, with no one around. I was terrified as I yelled everyone's names, but received no response. My eyes scanned the barren landscape, searching for any sign of life. The air was thick with the stench of decay, and my nostrils were assaulted by the acrid odor.
