Chapter 25: My New Nanny

“You?” I exclaimed in surprise. “You are the nurse who treated my sister, remember?” I asked.

She smiled with a nod. “May I?” she said.

“Yeah, sure,” I agreed happily and allowed her in. She walked into the living room, pulling her suitcase along, and staring across the room. She looks more different than I remembered. More beautiful. I followed her up. I was relieved to know her. She was one of the most caring people I ever knew. Treating Luna without wanting a dime in return is the best gift ever.

“You are highly welcome to my home,” I said, moving close to her. She turned and looked at me. She held my cheek in her hand. Her eyes glowed to tear up as she stroked my cheek with her thumb. I wondered why. She looks sad.

“You look more beautiful, dear,” she said.

“Thank you,” I smiled. “Have a seat, let me get you something to drink,” I stated. For many reasons, I was happy to have her around. She was caring and simple. Even though we met once, I could still
