West POV

Regret washed over me like a tidal wave, threatening to consume me whole. Thirty minutes had barely ticked by since Aria retreated to her room, and already I was grappling with the weight of my own temper. I had stormed to her door, intent on apologizing, but my fist hovered, hesitant to knock. The silence between us felt like an insurmountable chasm. I retreated to my room, the memories of our time together ambushing me like a ghostly presence. The bed, once a sanctuary, now felt like a torture device. The sheets, still carrying the faint scent of her perfume, taunted me. I couldn't bear the intimacy, the reminder of what I'd almost lost.
