Chapter 5. Slaughtering the cursed ones

       Anita didn't get to finish her statement, as a large net was thrown over, and it enveloped her, trapping her! 

At the same time, the two rogues were also caught, and a net was thrown on them. 

Together, the three were trapped in a very strong net. 

" Let me go!" It took Anita some seconds, before she realised she was surrounded and trapped! She tried to struggle free, but the net was something else. 

" Shit!" The two people cursed out loudly, but they couldn't do anything.

Anita growled and bit the net with her teeth, but it was futile! She was frustrated and cried out! " I am innocent and not cursed! Just let me go!...... please." She lowered her head and sniffed. 

This couldn't be the end of her! There was still some faith in her.

" Haha! Well done Anita, I must say you did well." A familiar voice resounded, and it brought chills to Anita's body..

" Do you really think you can run away from me?" 

Leaves rattled, as approaching footsteps could be perceived, before a familiar figure appeared.

" How smart of you Anita?" 

The moment Anita raised up her head, she was stunned beyond words. 

Anabelle's laugh reverberated around the forest. She made a derisive snort, as she looked down at Anabelle. She twisted her lips. 

" You want to run? Why don't you run? Oh, I remember, you are trapped!" 

Anita's eyes crossed, and she sighed. She was trying to be strong, but it was useless! A tear dropped from her eye, and she bit her lower lip..

" Why are you doing this to me?! Is it because I don't have a wolf like you?! Tell me!" She yelled furiously. 

Anabelle scoffed irritatedly. " The Alpha wants the cursed ones to be gone, so am just doing what I can!"

" To kill me and get the attention you want from the Alpha?!" Anita spat, with a glare. " But why me?! Am your sister! Why can't you protect me?!" 

Anabelle was amused, and she shook her head. " Protect you?!" She pointed to her. " Your existence is a threat to my own existence! I told you Anita, I don't like you!" 

" And I will bring you down!" 

At that moment, Anita knew she had lost it all. Her eyes contracted, as the light in them faded away. 

There was no hope for her, and it was all gone. She couldn't say anything and just gritted her jaws! 

" Don't think about it. Your death will be a simple easy death!" Anabelle bent down close to Anita and rubbed her cheek, with a sinister smile. 

" A very simple death." 

" Take them away!" She commanded the people behind her. 

Just like that, Anita and the other two were taken away.

    The moon shone brightly in it's crescent shaped, as if it was signifying the night was going to be a long memorable night. 

They got to the pack on time and headed to the Alpha's house instantly, where a lots of werewolves were already waiting. 

Anita and the two rogues stared at the whole werewolves, who were whispering words about them, but they couldn't say anything. 

This was more than humiliation! 

" The cursed ones!" 

" Kill them!" 

" This is for the pack! Slaughter the cursed ones!" 

" Kill them brutally!" 

Anita's tears rolled down from her cheek, and she choked. 

It was at this time, her eyes caught sight of her father, and she raised her brows. 

But Arnold looked away indifferently and turned his back. 

This was disappointing and enough for Anita to know she was alone in this fight. 

*Gbam* 

The Alpha walked out of his chamber with a loud bang and went outside to meet the so called cursed ones, that were brought to him. 

He got outside and saw Anabelle, who immediately bowed her head. 

" Alpha, I have brought the cursed ones singlehandedly." She smiled happily, as she said that. 

Alpha Zayn was indifferent, and he just walked past her. " Okay." 

Anabelle rolled her eyes and hissed. 

The Alpha faced the whole community and cleared his throat. " Thank you all. There is nothing much to say. You all know the reason why this is happening. The pack must flourish again! In that case, we must slaughter the cursed ones as said by the moon goddess!" 

" Yes!" The whole community chorused and howled loudly!

Swiftly, Anita and the two rogues were brought forward and showed to the Alpha. 

Alpha Zayn knitted his brows, the moment his eyes landed on Anita, and he stepped back. He didn't know what happened next, but he felt somehow unbalanced and a strange odd feeling.  

Anita also looked up with her lifeless eyes and slightly narrowed them at Alpha Zayn. 

Alpha Zayn glanced at Anita again and gritted his teeth. All his senses were aroused, and it felt like the beast in him was about to leap out. 

The whole pack community was expecting the Alpha to pass the order but nothing happened. They looked up at the Alpha confusingly. 

Alpha Zayn felt awkward, and he quickly went back to his chamber. While his beta followed him. 

Anita was also puzzled, but she was too weak to think much about it. Though, she couldn't deny she felt some kind of a weird connection. 

" You ..what have you done to our Alpha?!" One of the guards strode forward and hit Anita's face! " You cursed bitch!"

      Alpha Zayn paced back and forth in his chamber, with a scowl..

" I can't do this!" He shook his head. 

The beta sighed. " Just because you felt a connection doesn't mean she is your mate. It might just be a normal connection or something else." 

" That doesn't make any sense!" Alpha Zayn snapped and growled. " Who is that lady?!" 

" She is the wolfless in the pack." The beta answered politely. 

" What?!" Alpha Zayn pressed a hand over his face, as he punched the wall beside him. " I can't accept a wolfless as my mate! Impossible!" 

" But she can't be your mate, Alpha!" The beta argued. " Am sure something is just wrong somewhere. Think about it, why would the moon goddess give you a cursed wolfless as a mate! She is not your mate Alpha." He tried to convince and assured Alpha Zayn.

Alpha Zayn tugged his hair but didn't say anything. He took a deep breath and stared at the walls blankly..........

After some few seconds, Alpha Zayn strode out again and ignored Anita. He avoided looking at her and faced the whole community. 

" The right thing must be done!'" He roared and bared his claws..

Anita's heart skipped more than a beat, as she heard this. She had thought the Alpha was going to have a rethink but turns out she was wrong. 

" Will this be the end?" 

The Alpha turned to the guards. " Behead them and slice their bodies into halves, right in front of me and throw their bodies to the forbidden forest, so the beasts can feed on them!" He ordered in a deep voice. 

Another hot tear dropped from Anita's eyes. She watched quietly, as she was hung downward with the other two. She was in the middle, facing the whole community, that were cheering and rejoicing..

She had never thought life was going to be this cruel to her. All she wanted was just to live a simple life. But guess fate was a fickle mistress, that turns tables around anyhow. 

The guards stepped forward and raised their swords. 

" Won't you ask about our last words?" The two rogues said with a hopeless look. 

But the guards mocked them. 

" Shut up!" 

Anita looked up at everyone bitterly, her eyes scanning them all. She swallowed down hardly, before her lips quivered. 

" I curse you all! I cursed this pack! You'll will know no peace!" 

*Slissh!*

Immediately after that, her head dropped down and rolled to the feet of Alpha Zayn. He stepped on it and sneered, as Anita's lifeless head and eyes faced him. 

Blood spilled around, but the people cared less! 

Then, the guards sliced her body into halves, with blood decorating the ground even more. They raised their blooded sword, before proceeding to throw Anita's sliced body and the other two into the forest......

It was done, and the whole pack celebrated! 

" The cursed ones are gone!"
