Chapter 10: Dinner

“Do you like?” He asks while cocking his head and raising an eyebrow.

Glancing around the room, I note the various senators and congressman who are sitting at a long table to my right as we enter the room and then someone who looks strongly like an actress, I have seen in quite a few movies off to my left at a secluded table towards the back. She is dressed in a lengthy pearl colored dress that fits like a second skin and almost shows all of it too. Her plunging neckline shows more than a hint of cleavage as she bends forward to take a bite of her lobster.

I certainly have never been in such a fancy place as this one, and I am sure glad that I didn’t decide to wear something less classy. Because honestly, I would have stuck out like a sore thumb in a mini skirt and a halter top. I turn to Mr. Knight and smile before we are led to our table by a man in a nicely tailored grey suit and sapphire blue tie. His hair is cut short, but you can still see hints of grey at the roots.
