Everyone seemed to be amazed when they saw us step out of the mansion. I was slightly surprised that some members of the Pack, especially the elders camped in the servants' quarters as they waited and hoped for our recovery and breakout.

"I never thought they cared," Killian muttered as we stood above the stairs, staring down at the members that had gathered before the royal building. Their faces were filled with a mixture of worry and relief.

For the first time since our reign, I realized that we weren't always hated the way we thought we were. The members did care about us despite our dictating manner of ruling the Pack.

No one knew where Michelle was or what she was planning, and leaving this pack would certainly mean the beginning of war.

I had to keep everyone informed instead of waiting till the last minute when they're taken unaware.
