There Is More To This

Hours had already passed. Derek arrived home looking tired after he had helped Kira in her new apartment. Like a sad young, gentleman, he pushed the door of the sitting room and walked in, in which he saw his brother Scott and his mother already having lunch.

“Mom, bro.” He greeted with a facial expression that shows he isn't happy as he walked directly towards the fridge and pulled it open, where he took out cold bottled water and drank all of it.

Without saying any more word to anyone, he strolled to the dining table and sat on one of the empty seats, as his eyes glanced at the picture frame of his late father for some split seconds.

“Want to have some lunch… here…” The mother said as she shifted a bowl of meal on the table to Derek’s front. “I’m not hungry.” He said and pushed the meal back to her. His voice sounded weak. The fact that he could remember the scene of Kira talking to someone else with a smile on her face made him jealous. He never bothered to know who she was talk
