Chapter 11

Red POV

I looked away, brushing my hair. I felt like crying; standing here made my chest hurt. I am in love with a man who would never love me back. I shouldn’t have come to this place; it was a bad idea.

“Are you okay?” he asked. I sighed.

“Why did you bring me here, your majesty?” I asked.

“You seem sad; I’m trying to cheer you up,” he said. I looked at him.

“I don’t think his majesty does this for anybody,” I said. He nods his head.

“Yes, you are right. I couldn't care less if anyone except my brother and my assistant is sad,” he said. That reminds me, I haven’t even met his assistant; she must mean so much to him.

“So why me?” I asked. He smiled, looking at me.

“You remind me of someone,” he said, and I could see the pain in his eyes. Is what Adrain says all true?
