Amelia’s point of view:
I stopped munching and narrowed my eyes at the hand reaching for my plate. It must have felt my stare as it promptly yet smoothly moved my plate across the table.I trailed my eyes up until they pinned down on Alejandro.Feeling my gaze on him, he stilled before looking at me.I tipped my head up and arched a brow at him.He completely ignored me as he switched his plate with mine.I forced the bite down my throat before shouting at him. “What are you doing? Give it back!” I reached for my plate of pancakes but he swatted my hands away.“You can eat mine.” He shrugged nonchalantly as if it was no big of a deal that he just stole my food.“Give it back now or else…” I trailed off when I was unable to think of something I could threaten him with.“Or else… what?” He provoked me.Oh boy! You wouldn’t know what hit you! I wanted to say but I settled on something else.”Or else you won’t believe what I’m going to do to yoAmelia's point of view: I opened the kitchen cupboards and stretched upward on tiptoes to pull down a set of nestled, metal jars. “Shit!” I cussed out loud when they slipped out of my hands. I had ample of time to catch them but I let them crash and slide down the kitchen counter. They landed with a loud clang onto the ground. Turning to glance at Alejandro when he growled from the living room, I grimaced. “Sorry!” I mouthed at him with a not so innocent pout on my face. His eyes darkened. My heart started pounding hard and my stomach dipped. He knew that I did that on purpose. Dang it! That was an alert for me, yet I wasn’t going to stop now that I was set on getting rid of him. Yes, that was my idea. I’d annoy him until he would have to leave my apartment. Turning my back on him, I moved around to get my babies. I grabbed two packets of M&Ms and skittles and smacked them down hard on the table. I could fe
Alejandro’s point of view: I’d seen lots of beautiful women, but Amelia was something else.‘She’s our mate, that’s why!’ Leo chimed in but I completely ignored him.I was busy staring at our mate to pay him any attention.Amelia’s pink lips had parted as she’d sucked in a breath. Color had stolen across her high cheekbones, and she’d dropped her gaze.Something inside me had shifted then. Hard! No, it wasn’t my wolf. It was something else. My nerves fired and then spontaneously combusted. It was a feeling I was ready to welcome at anytime. When her eyes met mine, I locked our gazes. Rolling my bottom lip under my front teeth and waggling my eyebrows, I gave her a slow and sexy smile. She gulped. I could feel the nervousness rolling off of her body in waves despite her miserable efforts in hiding it. I ran a hand up her spine and wounded my fingers through her long dark hair, pulling her head back. Game on.Her dark green eyes flared for one brief second.I pulled her towards me, an
Amelia’s point of view: “You should… since I’m not a mundane like you. I’m a wild animal.” Alejandro said. His voice was laced with a threatening dark tone. A cold shiver traveled down my spine, sending goose bumps all over my exposed skin. Yet, that didn’t stop me when I caught the mischievous glint flashing through his eyes. He was messing with me. “I’m going to sleep. Don’t you dare follow me!” I warned him. “But, I slept in your bedroom last night.” He immediately said. “Not tonight.” I simply shrugged and crossed my arms across my chest. “But -” “No buts!” I turned my back on him and hurried upstairs. “Where will I sleep?” I heard him shouting from behind. “You can sleep on the couch!” I yelled back before closing my bedroom door. Jumping into bed, I sighed in relief. Finally, some silence. Closing my eyes, I heedlessly breathed in Alejandro’s scent which still lingered on my clothes from our tickle fight. It was strangely soothing that I fell asleep within a few seco
Amelia’s point of view: Only that in this race I would be the one to go down first. It was at that moment that I wished I had some kind of superpowers where I would have been able to at least save my stupid ass. I never thought that I would not live to see tomorrow or that a fall would be the cause of my death. The funny thing about all of this is that the last person by my side at the time of my death is the vampire who tried to kidnap me. Thinking about him, I looked up at him. Our eyes met. The firm line of his mouth told me that he had no intention of helping me. There goes my only way of escaping death. Ignoring the panic and fear embracing me in its vicious grasp, I closed my eyes and waited for my inevitable death. I knew meeting the ground from such height would be painful but I hoped that I would die on the spot and not feel anything. Just when I thought it was over, I felt myself being levitated back up, as if I was floating. I forced my eyes open only to see Alejan
Amelia’s point of view: Growling, he stared right back into my eyes. The sound was guttural, low and thick. “L-L-Look, don’t you dare try to scare me, okay!” I warned him but my voice betrayed me. “What if I do?” He reached my side in a flash. Jerking back in shock, I gasped when his face stopped inches away from mine. I gulped. We maintained eye contact for a moment. I couldn’t bring myself to glance away. It seemed like he had me hypnotized. I couldn’t look away from his yellow eyes. He hastily yet smoothly picked me up. I squealed in surprise. He threw me upside down over his right shoulder and carried me back towards the bed. “Leave me!” I punched his back but his steps didn’t falter whatsoever. What was he made of, rocks? “I’m telling you, I’m going to throw up.” Quick as lightning, he skillfully yet carefully moved me around until he was holding me bridal style. “Leave me!” I thrashed in a desperate way to get out of his grip. “If you move one more time, I’ll throw you
Amelia’s point of view: He could hear my heartbeat. He could tell that I was getting nervous. In other words, I was doomed. “So?” I asked with a shrug, trying to sound indifferent. “So, it means you’re slowly falling for me.” He winked at me. I took one look at the smirk on his face. He looked quite pleased with himself and his so-called discovery. I glanced up, briefly meeting his eyes, and then tried to look past his left shoulder. “Look me in the eyes, Amelia.” He said softly but I didn’t miss the slight urge in his voice. Breathing in a lungful of air, I did and he instantly locked eyes with me. His presence in my bedroom suddenly felt too prominent. I felt him moving closer yet, I couldn’t bring myself to step back. We didn’t touch, but his silver eyes held me, his intense gaze keeping me there, his body tantalizingly close. His arms wrapped about me. I felt the warmth of his arms around me. He held me tightly against him. His face was a breath away from mine – he could
Amelia's point of view: Rummaging through my wardrobe, I searched for the thing that should do the trick for Alejandro's disguise. "Got it!" I shouted, only to wince seconds later when I heard Alejandro hissing in pain from behind me. "Sorry..." I whispered out an apology while turning around. "I'm not wearing this." Alejandro's face paled once he saw what I was holding in my hands. "What do you mean you're not wearing this. Come here!" I grabbed his arms and made him sit down on the chair by my dressing table. Before he could complain any further, I placed the wig on his head and adjusted it properly. "Woah, you look damn sexy! If I was a man, I would totally fall for you." Meeting his eyes through the mirror, I winked at him. "Next time, give me a heads up before you say something like this. I was not ready for it." He groaned and glanced away, avoiding my eyes. It was a nice wig though and it looked... somehow okay on him. It was a wig of long blond curls cascading down his
Amelia’s point of view:“Alejandro, calm down! Please!” I whispered through gritted teeth as I faked a smile towards the onlookers who were currently busy staring at us in curiosity and amusement.Ignorant people! They were totally oblivious to what might go down if this gorgeous man beside me transforms into his wolf. All I know is that his beast would have a wonderful feast.“If you’re having troubles controlling your wolf, you can hold my hand.” I leaned closer and held out my hand.“Shall I hold your waist instead?” He reached out to hold the sides of my waist. His sudden movement made me step back with a flinch.“Huh?” I frowned.Raising an eyebrow at me, he asked. “Do I look like I’ll lose control over my wolf?”I slowly shook my head indian-style with a shrug while saying, “I-I maybe… maybe not.”Clenching his jaw, his eyebrows narrowed down questioningly as he took in the look on my face. “Was that a yes or a no?”“I don’t know.” I replied in confusion. He shook his head in di
