Chapter 03

‘Mamma, I am home’ Lisa yells as the trio scramble on the red and black couch.  Lisa looks around the house and thinking how her home had changed so much over the years, her mom had changed the television, the house design, and the chairs, in fact almost everything had been replaced except one thing…  The portraits on the wall.

‘My baby’ Monalisa mom whose hair was also jet-black just like Lisa’s with a pointed nose and a sickly thin pale structure replies coming out from the kitchen.

‘Mom?’  Lisa asks in disbelief as she looks at her mother, the woman looked as if she could break into half if anything wrong happened to her.

‘What happened to you?, I thought you were just kidding with me’ she says as she stands up to hug her mom while Amanda and Luca awkwardly looks at the drama being displayed in front of them.

‘I wasn’t kidding.’  Lisa’s mom, Rita replies chuckling ‘besides the doctor said I’ll be fine in a week or two and who are your two friends’

‘Introduce yourselves’ Lisa tells them

‘My name is Amanda and I’m in high school’ Amanda says as she bows

‘My name is Luca and I’m also in high school’ Luca says smiling as he also takes Rita’s hand and pecks her hand

‘What a gentle man’ Rita comments laughing

‘A gentle man my foot’ Amanda replies scoffing as she sits down on the couch but no one seemed to hear her except for Luca who glared at her.

‘Oh, you will all be starting high school tomorrow morning at twilight high school and I bought the two cars you asked me to buy’

‘Ok mom’ Lisa says frowning pissed about attending school with a bunch of hormonal teens.

‘You guys must be hungry after such a long flight, I just finished preparing a meal so if you’re hungry follow me to the kitchen’ Rita stated walking into the kitchen.  Amanda and Luca hastily stands up following Rita while Lisa looks at them weirdly and shook her head as she follows her mom to the kitchen

NEXT DAY

‘Bye mom’ Lisa says as she comes out of the house absolutely stunning, she was clad in a plain pink top, a jean jacket and crazy jeans with the latest Nike sneakers.

‘Bye guys drive safely’ Rita yells as she comes outside the house.

‘Bye ma’ they all replied as they all entered the new jeep and Luca enters the driver’s seat.  Luca starts the jeep, the jeep roared to life and they hit the road with the Gps on.

‘Wow, where did you buy your lip ring, where did you buy it Lisa?’  Amanda asks facing Lisa as her whole face lit up.

‘I bought it in china last summer but I just wore it today’

‘You look fab girl and your tattoo is showing’ Amanda informs Lisa and throws a bubble gum into her mouth.

‘So what?’ she replies touching her neck where the tattoos is-dragon colored with green, blue and red colored with stars colored white over the head.  She removes her hand from her neck and says

‘It not like I can remove it … So they better deal with it’

‘We are here’ Luca announced parking the car in the parking lot.

‘Gees, I miss being home schooled’ Lisa mumbles as they all get out of the jeep.

When they all got down from the jeep, they received stares room the students passing by because they did not wear the appropriate uniform.  The trio asked from a female student to lead them to the principal office, which she actually did.  They all went to the principal office but stopped in front of the secretary desk and the students left.

‘We would like to meet the principal’ Monalisa says to the secretary with a straight face

‘I need to know the reason why you want to see him’ the woman replied staring at the trio from head to toe wondering why they are dressed like that.

‘We are new students.  We just joined the school today’ Lisa said with an eye roll emphasizing on the word ‘students’.

‘Well then his office is there as you can see’ the secretary said pointing to the office as she adjusted her glasses annoyed by Lisa’s behavior.

‘Let go guys’ Lisa says as Luca and Amanda following her to the principal office.

‘Are you ok boss?  I knew you were trying to keep your temper while talking to the secretary’ Luca says to Lisa

‘Ugh, that woman talks too much and she was starting to piss me off’.  No words were exchanged between them again until they got to the principal office.  When they got to his office, they entered without knocking.

A man in his late thirties looks up from the book he was writing to see who entered his office

‘I’m sure the door over there is not used for decoration.  I don’t want that rude behavior to repeat itself, ok.’  Mr. Ohmshford told Lisa and her friends

‘Yes sirrr’ the trio replied non-chalantly.

‘Oh, he’s handsome’ Amanda whispered to Luca giggling.

‘Girls’ Luca thought tiredly rolling his eye balls

‘You must be the new students that called in to resume yesterday’ Mr. Ohmshford asked ‘and you must be miss del-a-Cruz’

‘Yes I am’

‘Ok miss del-a-Cruz please remove that lip ring’ Mr. Ohmshford ordered ‘now!’

‘What the…’

‘No excuses miss, remove them now!’

‘Gosh, I feel like removing that ass-hole’s tongue’ Lisa says fuming as they walked through the school hallway.

‘Chill amigo, chill’ luca says trying to cool his boss temper.

‘Ughh, I hate that damn man!’

‘Cool down boss, but I did think he was kinda cute though’ Amanda says day dreaming

‘What did you just say?’  Lisa asks as she turned around and looked at Amanda in the eye ‘repeat your statement’

‘I said he was kinda … ugly’

‘Amanda!’  Luca exclaimed frowning at her

‘What?  .I still want my head intact and you can’t blame me for that’ Amanda replied pouting.

‘I can’t actually believe I call these fools my friends one worries about the truth and the other can’t seem to stop talking about guys, sometimes I forget that you guys belong in a gang ’ Lisa says angrily as she storms off and mistakenly hits a tall dude who crashes on the floor

‘Are you blind’? Lisa asks angrily

‘Gees you’re the blind one’ the guy barks angrily as he stood up mumbling as he goes away.

‘Such a jerk’ Lisa comments as she storms off as Amanda and Luca shook their head as they watched the scene unfold.
