I could tell they certainly were not happy about the short speech just now, as they couldn't even hide it in their face that they were offended by my words.

And it seems like they are expecting an apology of some kind.

I let out a sight chuckle as I really found this so funny, do they really think I would apologize to them?

Well, I certainly have been too free and smiley with these old bastards, my right hand beneath my chin as my eyes glared right down at each one of them slowly, “Lilly, you can begin reading now.”

“Yes, sir,” she responded swiftly as I closed my eyes to listen.
