Lora was catapulted into the air and as she was floating above the room’s floor her brother collided with her. They came crashing down hard. At that point she could feel her shoulder was out of place, perhaps it was dislocated. Ladzgery looked down at the gushing wound on his forearm and smiled. Nobody knew what was going on inside that sadistic mind of his, but the results of his thoughts weren’t generally known to be good things. He walked back to the candelabra and picked up a glass of mead he was drinking earlier on and poured it over the wound. Lora tried her best to get up, but she could not even see a few feet further from where she was. Her right eye was completely swollen, blurring her vision. Her ribs were aching with every breathe, she was sure a couple had fractured under the immense force of the hit she took earlier on. Jrue on the other hand seemed to be in better shape than her, despite receiving a thrashing worse than hers. He was the first one to his feet. As she t
Hey! Little girl, hold on!" Soon after she caught up with her she saw her bent on one of the cells, trying to shake someone to wake. "Grandpa... grandpa wake up, we have to go! Grandpa," She tried to wake him, rocking him back and forth. She sniffled quietly, tears threatening to spill, building up under his eyelids. A heavy sob escaped her and she covered her face with her tiny trembling hands. Lady Melo was heartbroken, she started regretting why she signed up for this anyways. It was against everything she stood for. As she approached Lisa quietly, a thundering slam echoed from behind her. She turned back and saw Reene pinned to the ground by Tulip, one of her assassins. "Go, ma Lady! I'll hold him down," Lady Melo rushed towards Lisa and wrapped her around her arms, a bright teleportation ring popped up and cropped them out of view. The rest of the knights stormed into the room and Tulip let go of Reene throwing her hands up in a show of surrender. IN THE CASTLE It felt lik
What... What do you mean!" "That deity. Inside you? Why do you think it has a taste for Vurhans?" the figure asked? Slejj elevated himself using the bars of the cell door as leverage. Lifting his sight he saw that face stained with a smile, his eyes broadly open. "AL..." Alvatrone stared at him with an atrocious glare, "Hello brother..." "What, are you doing brother?" "You know the truth is I was never your brother you simpleton! I was never your brother!" "... Wha... What did I ever do to you brother?" "NOTHING! And that is why I despise you. You never did anything for anyone, only cared about yourself. Using others to get what you wanted... Using me to become the commander!" Slejj coughed up a couple of times before speaking. "What in the hell are you talking about?" "I do not need to explain myself to you! Have you ever heard of Enkai, the forest deity who supposedly guarded the gates against crossers? Protected the Independent States from the world outside, especially vu
"It's horrible,” he said, staring into the cup. “Yeah I know, I don't like people ridiculing themselves and...” “No I mean your tea, it’s horrible.” She slapped his arm as she got up and dusted the dirt under her skirt, aggravated and pleased at the same time. “Moron! It's clear the cold was killing you and this is the thanks I get for trying to save your life!” she then walked away, angry because he joked about the first pot of tea she ever made for someone and pleased because that was the first time they have ever had a real conversation, well at least it was close to one. “Wait...” Daito whispered to her before she got far. Alicia swallowed nervously. She tried to mask her unease, “What, you still have another insult you just couldn't repress.” " I need to ask you something.” In an instant, the air seemed to have shifted. The whistling wind halted abruptly and the screeching crickets finished their annoying recitals. Daito's ‘magic’ kicked in and Alicia slowly walked back. “
You will fall. Just like the rest of the enemies who have dared to challenge me! I feared the dark benders once, but now, with your suppressed powers you haven't even touched the surface of what you can do. You're weak!” Jericho’s dropped down on all fours, switching his posture. He charged towards the two and his teeth gripped Tyndale's cloak, dragging him backward. He let go of Daito and reached for the laces on his chest that were holding the cloak in place. He tore down the knot and released the cloak allowing him to get back on his feet. Jericho spat out the cloth and leaped towards the tyrant, its mouth wide open showcasing razor-sharp teeth. As he neared the Tyrant, a hard circular object stuck into its mouth, its teeth tore deep into the object’s metallic surface and got stuck. As Jericho looked down he noticed a shield sticking out of its mouth. Tyndale had managed to pick up one lying close to him and pushed it into its mouth. Unaware, Jericho was caught off guard with a
Jrue on the other hand seemed to be in better shape than her, despite receiving a thrashing worse than hers. He was the first one to his feet. As she tried to orient herself, a dense object was sent flying towards their direction. Jrue was sharp enough to duck and dodge it but Lora’s eyesight was still blurry. The table swept her off her feet, landing a hit across her chest and sending her flying across the room. The closed doors broke her flight. She hit her head hard on the wooden frame, splitting splinters from the door frame. The mammoth had picked up the table with one hand and thrust it towards them. Fear was creeping in and Jrue was re-evaluating his options. A retreat would seem reasonable at that point. Lora had been completely taken out of the equation. “Well! I am Waiting!” Tyndale barked, his voice full of excitement. Jrue charged towards him. He wasn’t that good of a fighter in tight spaces but give him an open field and he would perform his acrobatic stunts that surpr
Give them a fair chance of defeating him. Little did she know of the beast they were about to face. Moments later Jrue walked in, carrying his two trusty blades with him. Although Tyndale was aware of their presence, he did not flinch. He took one last long breathe and exhaled lightly. He then rose to his feet, anchoring the weight of his galactic body by resting his palms on his knees and pushing himself upwards. He rolled his shoulders, relieving them of exhaustion. “Finally! I was waiting for your arrival,” The two siblings looked at each other briefly, reassuring themselves. Ladzgery turned to face them. His face expressionless, “Any last words?”. He asked, slipping off his sleeve from his right hand and placing it over the candelabra beside him. He turned his back to the siblings once more, reverting his attention towards the candelabra. “I knew this day would come. I felt the unrest brewing for some time now. It was just a matter of time before the boat rocked too violent a
As it left behind the cloud of specks, he swayed his left side, poking it into view, they flew back to cover it. A warping sound was heard from the vurhan's general direction and the space distortion from before appeared above the vurhan. The specks spread out and encircled the vurhan's left arm. The vurhan became aware of the pit and attempted to restrain it. It blew smoke out of its mouth, igniting them and burning them off its side. The blast left an indelible trace, and the dry and fragile scales that were burned up by the blast began to fall off its limbs one by one. The vurhan charged for another blast with a barbequed hand. Slejj leapt in front of the girls and Daito, throwing his hands in the air, conjuring up yet another distortion in their path. It spewed specks into the air, forming a massive barrier. Daito had a hard time opening his eyes. Blood clots beneath his eyelids made it painful, and his eyelids rolled up, snapping and dropping the dried blood to the ground. Unc
