Christian's POV
I haven't stopped regretting walking out of Makaila's room that evening. I wish I stayed. I wish I stayed to hear what she had to say but I just couldn't bear to see her cry. It breaks my heart to see her hurt and I hurt her so bad. I have probably lost all my only chance of being with her. I love Makaila so much but would I ever be with her?

I started to get ready for Tyler's party. Bethany said she would meet me there which is kinda weird because she loves us going to parties together. She loved us showing to the whole school who the most popular couples were.

Makaila's POV"Seems like you and Christian are getting better." Rita said, leaning against the locker beside mine, watching me as I fixed my things into my locker. I sighed and shrugged. "Well, it's more like we are taking things slow. He's still with Bethany." I told her and she scoffed. "It's just a matter of time before they break up. Nigel found some sort of dirt on Bethany." Rita revealed and I stopped what I was doing to look at her, my eyebrows raised. "What kind of dirt? Hope y'all didn't create some sort of dirt just to get Christian and I together because that will just be plain low." I folded my hand across my chest and looked at Rita skeptically. "As much as I would have loved to do that, that's not the case here, Makaila. We found real dirt. Bethany has been cheating on Christian." Rita revealed and I sighed in response, closing my locker.

Makaila's POV Everything went back to normal. Bethany, Tyler and the rest of the Jocks that tormented me stopped taunting me, mostly because coach heard what Tyler wanted to do and had him kicked off the team. Same for Bethany who got kicked off the cheer squad. My life took a whole new turn. Jackson barely showed up in school so I didn't worry about running into him. Christian's POVI raked my fingers through my hair in utter frustration, pacing the length and breath of the living room. The police men and I had just conducted another search for Makaila to no avail.
