Christian's POV
"Makaila, are you okay?" I immediately moving closer to her.
"Come back here you slut!" I heard a familiar voice call from behind her. She shook her head and ran off, brushing past me.
Before I could say anything to stop her, I saw Tyler, James and two other guys on the team running towards me. My eyes met theirs, especially Tyler whose lips spread in a sardonic smirk when he saw me. I saw that Tyler had a black eye and I needed no soothsayer to tell me he had done something.
I felt my blood boil.
"What did you do to her?" I asked him, my voice raspy.
"Nothing."He shrugged nonchalantly. "We just wanted to have a little fun with her. If you are spending so much time with her, then she must be really good in bed. Better than Bethany even." He slurred drunkenly.
I didn't pay attention to his last statement. I already saw
Makaila's POV"Seems like you and Christian are getting better." Rita said, leaning against the locker beside mine, watching me as I fixed my things into my locker. I sighed and shrugged. "Well, it's more like we are taking things slow. He's still with Bethany." I told her and she scoffed. "It's just a matter of time before they break up. Nigel found some sort of dirt on Bethany." Rita revealed and I stopped what I was doing to look at her, my eyebrows raised. "What kind of dirt? Hope y'all didn't create some sort of dirt just to get Christian and I together because that will just be plain low." I folded my hand across my chest and looked at Rita skeptically. "As much as I would have loved to do that, that's not the case here, Makaila. We found real dirt. Bethany has been cheating on Christian." Rita revealed and I sighed in response, closing my locker.
Makaila's POV Everything went back to normal. Bethany, Tyler and the rest of the Jocks that tormented me stopped taunting me, mostly because coach heard what Tyler wanted to do and had him kicked off the team. Same for Bethany who got kicked off the cheer squad. My life took a whole new turn. Jackson barely showed up in school so I didn't worry about running into him. Of course he wouldn't show up in school after Christian taught him an unforgettable lesson. Christian. That name made me smile over and over again. He wouldn't stop telling every single day how much he loves me and how he just wants to hold me in his arms and prove it. Though I was still staying at Nigel's, Christian would always come to see me. Sometimes, he even sleept over. Though I protest at every attempt, every part of me loved the fact that he was sleeping over. But Saying those three words back had become quite difficult for me to do. I was confused and I don't want to take the risk. I needed time to heal af
Christian's POVAfter the incident at the station and getting to know that Makaila's father was out there and would be back for her, I became very concerned about the entire situation. I could not imagine anything happening to Makaila. Nigel and I came up with a ridiculous but genius plan and that was, we would be following her everywhere she goes,Without her consent, that is. We had to do it that way because we were certain that if she get to know what we are planning, she would kill the both of us, literally. But we had to do it because it was for her own good. It seemed like the only way, I am sure to keep her safe. I don't want to loose her. Not now, Not ever. I love her. The police were also available to keep watch around the house, any day but the weekends. They were doing their own investigations and trying to keep tabs on everything. I didn't leave Makaila sight especially at ni
Christian's POVI raked my fingers through my hair in utter frustration, pacing the length and breath of the living room. The police men and I had just conducted another search for Makaila to no avail. I groaned in anger and I clenched my fist in anger, frustration, sadness and fear.Nigel and Rita had taken their turn in searching everywhere. Makaila's mum was safe in her hotel room with the police men on guard at every nook and cranny suddenly took my keys, entered my car and zoomed off to my favourite bar. I need something to drink, something, anything to get my mind off this whole situation. I got there and went to the stand."One shot." I told the bar tender. He nodded and served me.I drank it in one gulp and suddenly started to feel light headed. I suddenly felt the urge to cry. Makaila was slipping away through my fingers and I could not do anything about it. I have been expecting a call for ransom or anything but nothing was coming in. I do not want to loose her. I can't loose
Recap from Previous Chapter.Makaila's POVMy tummy growled and I winced. Since I was brought here I haven't gotten anything to eat. The door opened and I looked up, my damp hair hanging on the sides of my face from sweat. It was Tyler. He smirked as he got closer to me. He removed the tape from my mouth and looked at me. "Look at you. You could have gotten me when you had the chance." He said. "Thanks but no thanks. I think I am better off this way." I smirked at him. "You are arrogant but I know you want me. You are a fücking whore taunting me with those cloths that you wear." He growled out but I looked on, not saying any word. That seemed to irritate him. "Christian is not coming to save you. You know that right. Now I can have my fun with you for as long as I can." He leaned in wanting to kiss
Recap from last chapterMakaila's POVImmediately his delicate lips touched mine, I melted into his arms and started to kiss him back. It wasn't so comfortable because my hands are tied but I have missed Christian so much. I thought I would never see him again. He pulled back and touched his forehead to mine, using his thumb to clean my tears. "Look what they did to you." He cooed, inspecting my body. I chuckled through my tears and made him look at me. "I'm fine, but you need to explain what is going on to me. I got your note two weeks ago and and after that, there was nothing. What's going on?" I asked at him eagerly, desperately pleading for an explanation. Christian pulled me closer to his body and held me. "Baby, calm down. This is all Nigel's plan to get you out. Bethany was the one that opened up to us about your where about and
Recap from previous chapter... That was until we all heard a sound of several gun shots. We looked and saw Dennis with a gun in his hand. His hands were not cuffed anymore and he had tackled and killed some police men. The gun in his hand was directly pointed at Makaila who seemed frozen in fear as she couldn't move. Nigel held Rita close to his body as some sort of protection. I guess I spoke to soon. "Dennis, what are you doing?" I snapped at him. He shot the gun to the air several times and then pointed it at me which made me back down for a moment "Shut up, pretty boy!" He glared. Guns from several police where pointed at him but no one could shoot because he had his gun pointed to Makaila. Anything could happen. Dennis pointed the gun back at Makaila. "I should have gotten rid of you when I had the chance.""Why?!" Makaila w
Recap from the previous Chapter... Christian came out of surgery the next morning and was taken to his private room. Though he was still induced in Coma, the Doctor assured us that everything was fine. Rose had told me to go home and freshen up since I've been in the hospital three days without having my bath. I heed and went home to have my bath and change. I was just wearing my jeans pants when a call came in. I checked and saw it was Nigel. I picked it up. "Nigel?" I said."Makaila, we need you to get to the hospital right now. Something is terribly wrong." He suddenly said. My eyes went wide as saucers and I almost fainted. No this isn't happening! "What?!" I exclaimed, hoping I was hearing wrongly. "Christian is not breathing well." He stated and I could hear the quiver in his voice. My heart almost stopped. "The Doctor said there are some
