Before I can ask what she means, the door opens again. Two men walk in wearing servant clothes, but I can tell from the way they move that they're fighters. this is an ambush

One of them has a warrior tattoo on his face. I think to myself that any fighter getting a warrior tattoo on his face is stupid, because in times like this where he needs to disguise as something else, he can easily tell who it is and where he is from. One look at him and I know who sent him. The other one is smaller but his eyes are cold and empty like a soldier who has killed so much that he has now lost his soul

My sister sees them and starts crying harder. Like she knew this was going to happen.

"Time's up," the big man says to my sister. "Did he agree?"

She shakes her head, still crying. "He won't leave Lucan."

The men look at each other. Then the smaller one grabs my sister's arm and pulls her toward him. She doesn't fight back.
